I would point out Menarker that Matt acknowledged Renny's claims and even said he had been thinking about it at the time though from a different perspective. As such, I shoot down your attempt at credit nabbing.

Well, from an In-character point of view, Renny was the first one to even voice the opinion. You can't exactly claim a poker hand if you never put it on the table. Similarly, Matt was thinking about whatever, presumably the Genom, but it was Renny who put himself on the spot and made the statement/theory. Matt may have contributed to the theory, but he didn't make it known to the group first.

Credit to Renny for coming up with it "first". Matt gets credit for fine-tuning it with other details from different perspective.

Well, Renny got the pokemon. Pierce only gave a stern warning not to let anything happen to it.

Doesn't look like being shot down at all. Perfectly reasonable reaction/statement for a trainer, since a pokemon's welfare is a trainer's business.

*After the pokemon stacking is complete*

Renny: "Behold! The PATCAzord!"
Impact: "This is retarded! I think PATCA needs to edit their hiring standards. No employees who get all their ideas from saturday morning cartoons."

Credit for mentioning it first is fine by me. Though saying you beat Matt to saying something first is like saying you can beat a dead horse in a foot race.

You misunderstood what I meant. I meant Renny ought to have some sort of reaction, like say surprise, that Pierce didn't shoot him down and was actually rather nice and compliant.

Since y'know, so far he's been everything but.
