You might notice the few times "deleting the forums" has been tossed around in previous omgexplosions, suggesting that were I to go to Brian and say "Hey, Brian, I need to ask you to pay me for these forums" he would likely respond with "What, you mean the forums I just asked you to delete? Naw."

This is clearly extortion. Blackmailing! I refuse to pay a single €cent. Also I don't have paypall, isn't that what these things are usually done with?

I went to Disney for a few days, and the forum's back up. Hm.

I suggest in a totally non-attention-whorish-way that this was an elaborate ruse by Walt Disney to force people to go to his happy time theme park, or he would use the server in an unholy ritual to revive Mickey Mouse from the halls of Valhalla.

Glad to see it's been put back together, though.

Hey,

I appreciate the concern. I'll be perfectly frank. To be perfectly honest I am not going to get into details right now, however it's safe to say that things are not very good at all right now. I am working with a team of specialists from the Cleveland Clinic however to try and get to the bottom of things before they get any more out of control.

Shiney summed it up quite well. I am dealing with a LARGE amount of physical pain, however that isnt very new as said pain was deemed "permanent" 2yrs ago. However unfortunately due to other issues said pain has gotten worse instead of staying stable. But we're going to get to the bottom of this it will just take time.

However, to add injury and insult to injury. While smack in the middle of all of this, I was at a convention/conference for work, to make a long story short I got CLOCKED in the right eye by a waiter carrying a metal tray. It laid me out cold. Due to this there is a lot of legal between myself and said hotel going on. But it left me with a concussion and mearley a scrape on my eye, no biggie I suppose. HOWEVER, over the next few days my eye literally started to dissolve. It really turned into a disgusting bloody mess. Not pretty at all. I also started to loose vision in the eye slowly. I finally got in to see my doctor and turns out HI, INFECTION. So they had to paralyze my eye and then give me an injection directly into the center of my eyeball. I will tell you, there is NOTHING anyone can say to make you ok with this. I had to be restrained something fierce.

This procedure left me 100% blind in that eye for quite awhile and also slapped with a no driving rule until otherwise. Which meant that if I drove, and I caused an accident I could get pressed with criminal charges. So all of the commuting to and from the DC to do the work had to be done around my lovely wonderful and loving finace's schedule. However she is right in the middle of an accelerated Grad School program that has her in class from 6am-9pmEST M-F so not only we were using her only free time but also her homework time as well. Needless to say I owe her big time right now.

In any regard my eye is about 90% back to normal now. THe wound around it has finally started to heal though I fear it is going to scar something bad, though we'll see. The hotel and I are still in discussion with what we're going to do about all of this, but we will work it out.

In the end though, we're back up and that is what matters. So while I am sure that is more exposition than you wanted I figured I would at least give people an idea of where I am at right now and why it took so long on my end as it isnt my typical MO.

Also not mentioned is my 15hr a day work schedule as well as the fact that this also happened in the middle of our move. But anyways, thank you for asking. Sorry to all that this happened, but sometime shit happens and when it rains it fucking pours

Good lord, ProphetX. That's terrible. I hope you get well soon!

Thank you for working so hard to get the server back up and running, but.... daaaamn, dude. You didn't have to go to all that trouble if you're in that kind of pain. No one would have blamed you for saying "hell no I'm in a world of hurt and half blind; go do it yourself!!"

Somebody give this man a medal. Carefully. And keep it away from his eyes.

I think the moral of this story is to stay the fuck away from waiters.

Thanks for the heads up.
