Can't go wrong with a classic like Rurouni Kenshin.

Still gonna go with Fairy Tail.
Oh, and One Piece. However, I hear the anime version isn't all that good in recent years, so I'd say read it. Oh! Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. For all the fans of the original manga, and those who would like to see what would happen if the anime's story didn't branch off around the time of the 5th Laboratory. Now with 100% more badass Not!Chinese dudes, and twice the Hohenheim. |

Archer and Armstrong vs. the World

Fifth has probably seen Black Lagoon but it is actually approaching displacing Cowboy Bebop for its amazing gunplay. The only thing keeping it from number one is that the characters don't approach the same level of complexity. It is however even more accessible than Cowboy Bebop due to not being science fiction (for the most part). I'm also glad to hear it apparently had a third season as an OVA. Gonna have to look into that myself.
EDIT: For a sandwich just make yourself a hobo (aka mountain pie), it's way quicker than a pizza and tastes the same. Just put pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and a little tomato sauce on a piece of bread (and any other toppings you might like, such as mushrooms, which you may need to fry separately), slap another piece on top, and grill it (butter outsides of bread) until the cheese is melted. Good times. You could do more complex things like pizza bagels or something but why mess with a good thing?

So we are clear

I have an idea, how about Desert Punk
guy normally fights with a combination of traps, bluffs, and gambits that rely on his enemies believing he is completely insane petty sociopath that will do clearly suicidal things just to make you suffer. This works because that is an accurate description of him. He's basically what happens when raw id is attached to an otherwise cunning character.

You could always watch Akagi and/or Kaiji if you have a tolerance for really deformed looking faces in extremely atmospheric environments and music.
They both involve a guy playing a game of chance: Akagi with Mahjong throughout the whole thing, while Kaiji plays a variety of more easily understood games. I prefer Kaiji because the main character is just a little more sympathetic. These guys are like really hardcore gamblers, they do shit and it's like, "OH FUCK BALLS TO THE WALLS, EARS ON THE FLOOR" edit- If you want a sandwich you can have WHOLE WHEAT BREAD and BUTTER and THAT'S IT

But I don’t know what to do with those tossed salads and scrambled eggs. They're calling again. Last edited by Art of Hilt; 08-29-2011 at 07:56 AM. |
