For some reason I misread that video as that guy being Carly Rae Jepsen, when I was like wait isn't that Tay Zonday? And it was. So what I meant was I like the Tay Zonday version.

Magus, yes, they are primarily an electronica band. They tend to experiment with other techno genres, however. Examples:

I think, really, I like them so much because their beats are amazing and the voice is not a droll monotone 'I'm trying to sound as much like Ben Stein as possible' voice.
