Someone is working on a fanfic of The Dreadful! Link.

I gave the writer some info about the backstory, and he's been a long time follower/pal of mine on Twitter, so it's not a TOTAL surprise. Still, this wasn't prompted and aside from just those small details I'm totally clueless about where it's going.

So give it a read!

Curious if anyone who participated in the previous discussion has had their opinions reinforced/changed due to the recent page.

Or, if you didn't have an opinion regarding the previous discussion (the one Ness started when he commented about the "Sleazy" side of Poe), do you now?

The next page may flesh things out even more. I'm interested in hearing what people think, so let me know if you have any thoughts!

I really would not call it a sleazy side. So far it seems like Kit is overreacting to Poe wanting some love in her life, and she's not willing to wait for marrage or some chivalrous devilkin boy (if there are such, we've never seen one yet).
So? Poe is not some virtous madonna on a high unreachable pedistal (and is thus outside the three classical, and frighteningly patriarchical, womens roles of Virgin, Mother, Whore. Good thing too). I would have been dissapointed if she was.

Page 135!

Kit and Poe have a small chat.

This page took forever to write, I'm not sure why, but I was pulling my hair out when it came to figuring out what they should say in the last three panels. I eventually changed the order of them. Panel five used to be panel six. That helped.

So, I hope it's a good page!

Kit's the elder sister isn't she? Or at least she views herself as the older and more responsible sibling. Although it might be the other way around...

They're twins, but Kit views herself as the one who has to take care of them. So when you combine that with her personality and her unique abilities, she becomes the one in charge.

Seeing now that they share the same bed, I can understand why she wouldn't want Poe sleeping with people. Strange dude funk gets into the sheets.
