Alright, I sent a message to the person, just to see. I mean, even if they DIDN't reference off of me, they DID reference off of SOMETHING and it's good to say in the post next to you picture in oekaki boards that you at least used a reference.

This is my original message:
"Hey I liked the picture you drew of Juvenile Orion. A ton! Keep up the good work.

I haven't been around much on this board but... I was just thinking, isn't it common courtesy to say you referenced off of a picture when you oekaki something?

Also, I thought I might let you know but your Kanji is a little wrong in it. You accedentally added two lines on both sides. Don't worry though, I did the exact same thing on my picture.

I think I was being nice enough while leaving it open for them to either admit if they did anything or to deny it. Was I too harsh? (I didn't want to have to send them something, but I have reason to believe they might do the same thing to someone else's art by looking at some of their other stuff. I might be jumping to conclusions, but better safe than sorry, right? (I hope I'm right though...

Looks like they referenced off of you to me.

And you weren't harsh at all, you didn't directly accuse them of anything. If they are offended by that, then its probably b/c they are guilty and were trying to steal it.

Doesn't seem rude but you can easily tell it's an inquisitive post.

Like the 2nd paragraph closest thing you can get to being "pushy", or "rude" (And its not even close to it...)

I just got a reply from the person and everything is A-OK. It turns out she had my picture on her computer for awhile before she referenced it, and I didn't sign my picture so she didn't know who to reference to. ^^ So everything has been worked out. Thanks for the thoughts and opinions on this matter everyone.

Thanks. I was worried when I confronted her about it if I was being too mean because she seemed very apologetic about it. ^^;; I felt like the big bad mean person. ^^;;

Not at all.
You should see how I handled my "situation" that I mentioned.
Not nearly as deftly. I look back on it now and laugh, though it still is fairly annoying that it even happened.
