No...I mean like......
Ok, CLAMPs old style was much more detailed and...how to say it...bold. The eyes of the normal Angelic Layer are much more round and what some would consider 'cute' where the old CLAMP style had both the guys and girls with more rigid and triangular eyes, sharper chins and bolder colors. Aha! Found an example! Had this picture but couldn't find it again. Now I did. Notice that these are 4 pictures from the Angelic Layer Manga. The three on the right are of the 'Newer' CLAMP style, while the one on the left is Misaki (the star of Angelic Layer) but drawn in CLAMPs 'old' style. Its the only picture I know of that's of Angelic Layer but drawn in their older style. http://members.tripod.com/~clamp1/img-angelic.htm I want all the characters in my game to be redrawn to look like that style, both the way the characters look and the types of colors, etc. used. If you need other examples, look back to my other posts that have the other show examples.

Aside from your opinion of the shows, if you go back and read my many posts again, you'll see how many times I said I wanted to take the shows style and remake it to resemble more like their old style. Which can be seen in Magic Knights Rayearth and ---->X<---- Note the big referencing of the Manga 'X'. And again, CLAMP didn't make X/1999 (the X movie). Madhouse Studios, who also made Vampire Hunter D, Rurouni Kenshin the OAV and many other CLAMP tv shows (such as CCS and XTV) did. CLAMP only made the manga. And the X movie is one of the few things made from a CLAMP manga that doesn't have one of the CLAMP people working on it, as XTV, CardCaptor Sakura, Chobits and Angelic Layer all did. ----- And Crhyos, I think the most definitive things about the CLAMP style are actually the completly unique eyes, the coloring and how the characters move. To really know what the CLAMP 'style' is like, you'd have to go look at CLAMP mangas and watch some of the shows made from their Mangas. Magic Knights Rayearth is a really good example of the kind of style I want made in an Anime form, since they tried to make it look a lot like the Mangas (only not as bold in color since it would have been more expensive and it was a 1992 show).

Hey, do you still need sprites? And if you do, what kind? Someone FINALLY posted on the thread, expressing interest, and he would like to know.

Also, when not in fighting modes, the Angelic Layer game will be seen in a overhead perspective with the camera tilted to give the effect that the characters are 3D sprites (which, if space and technology allows, they would be). And there would be whole different types of sprites for the fighting parts (whenever you put your Angel on a Layer in other words). However, for the Action/RPG/Fighter hybrid....I don't know yet. I know we're gonna need to have sprites at LEAST to the quality of Seiken Densetsu 3 to Suikoden II and they're going to have to have even better movement than those games did (since the entire game system is free movement and relies entirely on the persons ability to freely control the character). Really....if people are gonna want to help in this project, which I'm still open about, one prerequisite you're gonna have to do is just see Angelic Layer... And for the Action/RPG/Fighter Hybrid....have played a lot of the famous games of all of those types. Just gonna have to come with the help.

If theres some screenshots from Angelic Layer and sketches of the character(s) to be made, i.e. movements, actions, etc. I can whip up some variations.

Only think I can think of so far for the actual hand-drawn graphics will be 1) character re-design 2) text bubble pictures and 3) still 1 shot drawn images (much like the key scene stills you see in games like Fire Emblem and Metroid Fusion). Actually, there would be other things needing hand drawn images, probably a lot more, but all I'm saying is probably nothing to involve movement. We are trying to perhaps get this to work on a GBA cart.
