Ash sits down and takes off his boots. un laces them then uses the laces to tie both the boots on one end of a very long lace line (About 8 feet based on my own laces). He opens room number 2289-8 and tosses the Shoes while holding onto the laces. He then looks inside to see what happens.

Michael is greeted by the same room, big surprise there, as he was in with the excpetion of the number of doors on the other side. Being to far away to read them he can't tell what the doors are numbered. (for times sake they are numbered 14-13, 133-11, 595-9, 1541-7, 2476-5, 2377-3, 925-1, 1585-2, 1981-4, 1321-6, 569-8, 121-10, 13-12) Other than that the room seems totally empty.
James opened the door and was shocked by what he saw. Faces, two to be exact, stared back at him forzen in terror, and by forzen I mean encased in ice. Whatever happened in this room it wasn't to pretty. At least the expressions of the frozen bodies seemed to scream that much. As he was peering into the room a good size piece of ice disloged from the ceiling and smashed into one of the forzen figures. The figure shattered as if made of glass and scattered all over the floor. A piece even skidded into James' foot as near as he could tell it had been a finger, at least he hoped it was just a finger. The boots thud onto the floor and nothing happens. After coming to a halt they sit for a few seconds but still nothing happens. This room appears to be safe for the moment and quite empty. Oh and Ash, Thomas, and Alex will find the doors on the other side of the room in the next set of rooms locked. It seems someone doesn't want anyone going to much further into the maze yet. ooc: Man you guys are eating all my good trap ideas up right off the bat. At this rate I'll have nothing for the end. Huh that's strange Michael said as he walked into the room and saw the numbers on the doors. "Well since highest number failed lets try the lowest number" He said as he opened door 14-13.

Michael sees the same room as Alex, Thomas, and Ash. Just like them he finds the doors on the other side of the wall locked. Other than that the room is unremarkable in anyway.

Ash looks around. Tugs on the boots a bit to make sure they're safe. "Groovy." Ash comments. He looks around the room and approaches the next set of doors and tries to open one. Only to find its locked he checks them all and finds them all locked. "Maybe the numbers will give me a better hint." Ash looks around for the numbers checking the floor to see if it corresponds with the number on the door.

Alex walks into the room and begins investigating the rags and checks the door listings.

Bobby sat up with a start. He looked around the cold steel room franticly, searching for a point of familiarity. He couldn't remember yesterday, didn't know where he was. He stodd up quickly and tried to control his breathing. How long had he been lying on that floor? How the hell had he ended up wherever he was?
He had just noticed the multiple doors surrounding him, they were all labeled with funny numbers which in and of themselves seemed to denote nothing. "What the fuck?!" he exclaimed, he heard his voice echo off the walls. He was too weirded out to stick around here any longer. He flipped out his cellphone as he barged through a random door, marked 2913-8 |

ooc: Only the doors on the far wall are locked. The doors on the wall you came from are unlocked and you can walk through them if you wish to travel backwards.
ic: Alex discovers, to his horror, that the bundle of rags is actually a person. They way he died suggest that someone else did him in. It would seem that a killer was on the lose in this maze. The doors leading back for all those that are in the room with the locked doors are numbered 16-15, 183-13, 1002-11, 3277-9, 7008-7, 10011-5, 9010-3, 3433-1, 6007-2, 8009-4, 6007-6, 2913-8, 911-10, 169-12, and 15-14 For those only one room deep the numbers are: 14-13, 144-11, 703-9, 2003-7, 3576-5, 3862-3, 1717-1, 3433-2, 5149-4, 4291-6, 2289-8, 781-10, 157-12, and 15-14; and on the wall you just came from 16-15, 196-13, 1156-11, 4096-9, 9556-7, 15016-5, 15016-3, 6436-1, 12871-2, 20021-4, 18019-6, 10921-8, 4551-10, 1261-12, and 211-14. Bobby finds almost the exact room he left with the numbering scheme directly above. In the corner a young man rocks back and forth mumbling something he can't make out. The man has short cropped hair and appears to be wearing a T-shirt and shorts. He looks a little dirty but you can't tell what exactly is smeared on him from so far away. |

Ashvin blinked the sleep from his eyes, her scent still fresh in his mind.
Jessica... The feel of stark, cold metal on his feet shocked him to consciousness. He sat up, and simply stared, shocked by the vast difference between what was there and what had been expected. Thoughts of Jessica left his mind as he struggled to make sense of what was going on. There were metal doors around the room, and on them were numbers. Pairs of numbers, separated by a dash. Ashvin looked at the one that said 16-15, and opened it. |

John woke up, feeling a little groggy, but that wasn't unusual for him on waking. He looked around, tried to figure out where he was, trying to remember how he had arrived there. Nothing about the place seemed familiar. It looked like the set of a sci-fi movie, or perhaps one set in a submarine... He tried to remember, but everything was a blur... He remembered that he had needed the toilet, and was relieved (so to speak) to find that he must have gone at some point.
He explored the room, feeling and knocking on the walls, but they seemed to be as they appeared: metal, not giving way. He turned to the doors. The unmarked doors seemed fairly uninteresting, especially since the numbers above the other doors caught his eye. John turned to the doors, and regarded them with deep suspicion. The numbers appeared to be in some sort of sequence... Firstly, they went from low to high, to low again. This suggested some sort of cycle, but if it was, it wasn't anything immediately obvious. John took out his calculator, feeling extremely glad that he had happened to bring it, and tried calculating the differences between adjacent numbers, but that didn't seem to help. He looked at them again. He had the strong feeling that there was some sequence, some order to them, but he couldn't quite place it. One thing did catch his eye: The first number was only one more than the last. Taking out his notebook and pen, he calculated and wrote down the differences between the numbers, working from the outside in, and got: 1, 14, 91, 364, 1001, 2002, and 3003. This looked promising, except that the centre number, 3433, was left alone, so he noted this number down in brackets after the others. Unfortunately, as promising as this looked, it didn't tell him which was the correct door, so he went to each, looking through to see what lay beyond, hoping that that might inform his decision...
