After the Evening news ends, Peter Windrem relaxes in his dressing room after an arduous half hour of reading a prompter. As he relaxes there, he takes little notice of small red dot the travels slowly across the wall, drifting toward him. As it settles near him, his phone rings. When picking it up, he hears a harsh voice nearly shout at him.

"Your ratings came in. It's not looking good..."

The Detective was in a similar situation. After four hours of arduous paperwork, he relaxed in his living room, reading a newspaper. He didn't hear the two men enter his living room. He also didn't hear one draw a lead pipe from his jacket. He also didn't hear it fall on his head. He did feel it though, at least, the first time...

Afterwards, as they left, the second man spoke.
"То не было трудно на всех."

A Large Russian man entered a small Irish pub, one that he was destined to close down for his boss. He uttered his famous line.

"You will be closing now."

However, one Irishman felt differently. He had followed the Russian into the bar, carrying a large caliber pistol. The Russian never saw it coming.

Yet another man of Russian descent sat quietly in his Sedan. He watched carefully as a normal looking man walked down the street. This man looked quite nervous, glancing over his shoulder constantly. He entered the church. The man in the car shook his head as he wrote in his notebook...

The man from the street looked concerned at the priest.

"Father Macklepenny, why did you call me on such short notice."

The priest quickly locked the main door to the chapel.

"I fear for your life, I think the mob is out to kill you!"

"You told me that much on the phone. What would they want with me? I don't have anything to do with the mob!"

"I don't know, it's just a feeling I had, I think they are trying to kill everyone else in the town!"

The people of South Boston woke not to their normal News Anchor, but to some new one.

And we are also sadden to report that our normal anchor, Peter Windrem, was found dead in his dressing room this morning, shot by some large caliber hunting rifle. Police are baffled, given his ties to the Italian Mafia, who would dare to kill him?

Perhaps the worst is over, these could just be isolated incidents. There couldn't possibly be more then one Russian Mafiate in South Boston...
