...with faces. :P I wish the graffiti around here was that interesting.
Zephie - the sketches made me laugh, especially the last one. For some reason, I think I was expecting anything except a girl in a cake, not "a girl in a cake with a mallet. You also do the rumpled clothes thing very well. CelesJessa- I'm trying to come up with something more intelligent to say about the colored piece other than "Ooo pretty," but my brain is failing. I love what you've done with the background, though. And actually, I mentioned this elsewhere, but the real-life coat isn't red; I didn't have a color for "coral." But yes. There's not a day when I don't wish that it really was a red coat. (The play from which the song comes actually does call for the singer to open his coat at the end; when I saw it, the guy was wearing women's lingerie. See-through women's lingerie. He was a very brave man. I thought about doing a milder version, but I'm not that advanced; the difference between how I draw men and women is so small that I figured I shouldn't blur it more.) I threw together this sketch yesterday... it's me wishing I were in bed instead of in my class on insomnia. It's not the most flattering depiction, but it's probably close to how I looked. Sorry for the general quality of the image; I can't get to a scanner, so I took a picture with my camera. I may scan it Monday, or else, if/when I fix it up. Celes, you lucky bum! XD Now I want a picture, but asking for it seems like a dangerous idea. Do I dare? My sense of self preservation and curiosity are at a stalemate, dammit.
Ah well. Today is a special day. It's October 6. My very first 'real' character turns seven today. Well, technically she's eighteen, but you know what I mean. Here's to Chelsea "Chao" Keido. Man, my little creation's all grown up! When I have time, I'll colour her so she's even sexier.

Khael - You have birthdays/creation dates for your characters too? I thought I was the only one that did that ^^ She looks awesome by the way.

Gads man, if I had creation 'birthdays' for every character I've come up with I'd never get anything accomplished >.<
I make too many as it is.. |

Just out of curiosity, in what way is she your first "real" character? First character with a detailed background and personality? First character to be a main focus? First complete roleplaying character?
I can remember the creation of my most important character if I think about it. I've occasionally gone though a whole ceremony with main focus characters. Otherwise, in a non-RPG settling, they more or less come, develop, and go the way people do in real life life, without much formality. |

Yup. She was in a dream I had once, giving me hell for doing something. I figured, angry or not she was worth drawing. The rest of her nature just kinda grew - sort of like how friendships do as you learn more and more about someone. The date from her original sketch is her birthday. I don't celebrate all my characters'... That'd be over seventy cakes! That's as many as seven tens!
She's the first character to have a proper, in-depth personality. The guys I'd drawn before were either not mine (Sonic the Hedgehog, Zelda and Pokemon) or of the simple slapstick variety. They were never any deeper than Itchy and Scratchy are. Chao belongs to a world I'm working on called Tenova. It's a joint project where most of my characters now reside. Actually, only three of my characters are from D&D, and only six have no place at all yet. So that's like... still sixty people I have running amok in Tenova, not including the people my friend has added.
