Maybe it's because his dream self is now permanently in the 'getting god tier levels' mode.

And he only has his dreamself.

Thus everything he do will advance him along more god tiers.

There has to be some kind of plan involved in what Vriska just did that involves making John stronger, considering her wager with Terezi vis a vis John/Dave and the fact that Dave already knows that John ends up the big goddamn hero at the end.

Doesn't make it less bitchy, really, though I do find it vaguely amusing that she convinced John to let her put him to sleep.
