Or do you magically eyeball it?
Ah, I eyeballed it actually. ^^;

Darn. Ahh, come to think of it, I only ever use perspective lines when I'm told to for an assignment anyway. If you do find a easy method for that, TELLMETELLME PLEESE? (that's how much it's been bugging me.)

I never really found an easier way other than just to practice. The way I see it, is that a person can do this frequently to the point where they can easily visualize the lines, instead of having to draw them out each time.

Also, I found this to be useful..

I also remember her posting something she did on here earlier using perspective lines, so she's had some practice. Which is probably why she was able to do it by eye. Just sayin'.

Yeah practice would probably be the #1 most important tool to doing art. You can learn rules and tricks and such, but mostly it's just learning how to know when it feels right (if that makes any sense). And to get that, drawing from observation is a crucial step.

If you want something that looks like it's through a fish-eyed lens, I would probably first find some pictures that have the "fisheye lens" quality to it, and then try and see how it works and apply it to your own picture.

For my own design I posted previously, I wanted something that had a 3D Fractual Art feel to it, so before drawing anything, I went online and researched 3D Fractual Geometry and looked at TONS of examples of them and made a few sketches before I drew that.

If you need help with regular-perspective stuff, I can tell you some rules and tricks, but I really have never (purposely) done anything in a fisheye lens style, so I really don't have any pointers besides go and observe what you want to draw and try to apply it.

Sky-Byte from Transformers Animated.

<_< There...there is no Sky-Byte in transformers animated. I was in a topic about which transformers people wanted to see in the new show. Someone suggested Sky-Byte and his beatnik-like persona. That was all the incentive I needed.

I don't come in here often enough. Sorry about that. But if anyone wants to see any of my online stuff, this is the place to check:

Alright, here goes nothin'.

TDK:
First off, the thing that bothers me the most is how it looks slanted. It's something that CJ's been notorious for when drawing fanart (albeit she's imrpoved), and could be fixed by adjusting it with an image editing program to look right.

Not sure it this was intended or not. Also, assuming that the angel has feathered wings, it looks kind of odd. To me, it comes off like mosquito wings. I'd recommend practicing (as drawing feathered wings is quite the challenge) by looking at pictures of birds (or other angels), or even feathers individually. Research goes a real long way on certain things.

One last thing, is the feet. Is the angel walking or just floating there? Seeing as how the feet are positioned, it seems like it's walking. With in turn the rest of the body should be angled downward. Looks like it's leaning back while walking.

Fisi-Visi:
Awesome sketch. Although seeing as it's the style of Transformers Animated, which is quite wonky in the first place, so not much can really be said without it being put into quesiton. Awesome none the less.

Dragon-elf:
I like it. Although some things are bothering me; mainly the left arm. It seems like it's too thing, but also the hand seems off. Main thing is, is that it seems not enough hand and too much finger. But it is a pretty dynamic pose so it's hard to get it right. Also, the legs and feet like it was glued on there. Maybe some more depth or shadowing on them would help.

Also, how the elbow is on the pillow seems kind of odd.

It's not a sketch, but it's an abstract digital art piece I did for a class last term. And all of the images are stills I made in Photoshop: My first attempt with Photoshop ever. I recorded and altered all of the sounds myself, from around my house. The images are mostly altered photographs of extreme close-ups of household objects.

It's pretty weird, just a warning. But as stupid as it is, I'm actually very proud of it. Just because I've never done abstract art before.
Wraith.

Wait what? I don't remember being notorious for that recently...

Yaay I'm finally notorious for something!

TDK - Savage Thinking got most of the critique. I think after looking at some references and practice you'll really improve. It's a nice picture though. I rather like the sword.

Fisi - Very interesting pictures. I find I rather like his shoes. And his hands.

Dragon Elf- The subject freaks me out (in a good way!) There's just somehting about yoshi sitting in a sultry pose that is a little unsettling. It's nicely done though.

Mauve - I commented on the youtube video but I'll say it here too: I like it! very freaky in a good way though. ^^

Simple sketch that I did. I really want to draw something, but art class sucks my creativity out. I wanna try and draw something of worth sometime soon. Until then, here's Sailor Moon

She has a huge neck and chin. Silly Sailor Moon.
