My main suggestion is to shut down the server, take the file with the terrain. Identify fire and start knocking out fires within that area without having to mess with lag and buckets that may or may not have a helpful fluid.

Hell, I'd do it myself if I was running the server.

The coordinates of the new fire are -589-93 72.62 -125.96, it's not that far from the original one :/

The original must have spread further than we noticed. That or some jackass went in and started another one on purpose.

The odd part is that, even though I was at the original fire's site, I didn't see anything, and there was no lag either :/

~~Can't connect to the server, I hope that's a "fixing it right now" kind of can't connect rather than "server no longer functions" can't connect.~~

The lag seems to have weakened and I'm watering down fire now. Hopefully this will help it become controllable.

In response to that earlier comment about mah caves.

Those things literally go on forever. I have yet to find an and and gave up. I'm slowly working my way down making paths and mining out the stuff I see
