I'll try and remember to make a point not to slant my drawings.

I'm going to do a series of drawings with a certain mood, to make them atmospheric. Not all the same mood, obviously.

Have you tried drawing with photo references? It's easy to find free stock art on the internet (try searching DeviantArt), and it will improve your overall sense of anatomy. It's difficult to draw something accurately when you can't see it anyways (impossible really, unless you've invested in tons and tons of hours of practice) :/

Edit: Oh no! There's two Celes...s now!

I don't want to draw things with photo references. I want to do my own stuff. Also, I do the majority of my drawings in school, where I don't have access to the internet whenever I want.

You don't lose originality by using a photo reference- remember, the greatest painters in history always had a model handy. And many of them were geniuses.

Anyways, here's my latest skerchings. I cannot believe how long it's been since I posted in this thread.

I actually started these awhile ago but I've yet to finish them. I have newer sketches too, but my scanner is currently out of commission and I do not wish to subject people to blurry phone pics.

This skerch is actually complete:

What you could do for the sake of getting a better grasp of the human anatomy is to draw the people around you.

And pocheros, I love that last one, the background must've been very painstaking. The really distorted proportions on all of them really gives it an overall eerie feeling to it.

Dumb doodles while trying to break away from my typical Anime-ish style. I really enjoyed drawing that Cake guy.

Yeah, sure model drawing. Drawing people around you who aren't aware of it and more likely than not don't like you, and even if they did, would probably find it creepy that you were drawing them? Not so much.

I do it all the time. I regularly sit in my classes and draw the people I see sitting around me. Nobody seems to mind, as long as you're not creepily obvious about it.
