The treachery will probably be that we won't die when we were expecting it.

in case you're wondering what's going on, I've been busy lately.
I promise one thing to you. My next update will be large. It will be in charge. It will decide your fates. Oh yes, yes it will.

We've been dragging all these useless mages around for ages. We might as well use them. |

Current Time: Sunrise
Date: Fifth Location: Main Path out of the Northern Village So it was that the adventurers had opted to choose their enemy by the wording of the spiritual essence. They chose to fight and fend off the infamously dangerous Magical Foes of unknown type, not yet realizing that what they were walking into was none other than exactly what the Ice Drake wanted, for yes it was sentient, and yes it was aware of them ever since they destroyed the first town. The creature had supporters, and that was what the group came across. A massive group of supporters who were in the midst of their morning rituals, sacrificing a live virgin to the Ice Drake and it's master. The ritual itself was something that should not be mentioned nor described, and not because the GM is a lazy whore scumbag. The group of crazed ritualists looked up and swore to the Ice Drake that the interlopers would be stopped! (x30) Magical Ritualists of DOOOM (5, Magic) The fight was long, hard, and much magic was flung about. The men who relied on swords and shields to fend off death quickly learned the hard way that they were nothing compared to the mages, who easily obliterated their ritualist foes. Injured: Masked Jedi - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Captain Combustible - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Rygar - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Tendronai - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Moogle - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Mr. Bookworm - 2 Damage, No EXP Gain wasoe - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Jay - 0 Damage, +5 EXP Pink Bunny - 0 Damage, Evaded, +5 EXP Barrel-Hating Sycophant - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Cephrir - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Secretskull - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Tophat - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Darthmauler - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Zavage - 0 Damage, +5 EXP Bosolai - 2 Damage, +5 EXP Marn - 0 Damage, +5 EXP Emong - What? Damage from magic?! Crazy you are, +5 EXP Cabal - 2 Damage, +5 EXP --- No deaths! As the group stood there, with the corpses about them and the ritual ruined, the virgin already dead for they had come across this gruesome scene too late, they had a choice before them. A choice that would decide their very fate. Ahead lay the Cave, within which the Ice Drake was known to be. They were able to take numerous options and choose one to handle this Drake...but which would they favor? ~ Choice 1 :: The Rogue's idea -- Ignore fighting it, and just avalanche the place so no cave is present anymore. ~ Choice 2 :: The Barbarian's Thoughts -- Barge into the cave and slay the beast. ~ Choice 3 :: The Bard's Ponderings -- Play some music in the hopes of drawing out and pacifying the creature. ~ Choice 4 :: The Medics Preference -- Retreat back to the town and try to recover. ~ Choice 5 :: The Mages Brilliance -- BURN EVERYTHING TO THE GROUND!

If I was playing TF2, I would be the guy running around screaming "MEDIC!!!!". And also running around so fast, that the medics can't aim at me. EDIT: Also, after we get healed, I support rushing into the cave and killing, cause I'm a barbarian, and I like smashing things with my axe.

Er, why'd us barbarians get 2 damage? Shouldn't we just take 1?
Also, I like the idea of hurting things. The only option that we know exactly what we're hurting and how much we're hurting it is to do the hurting in a very direct manner. Choices 1 and 5 don't let us see the corpse, choice 4 is for people who think missing 2 hp is too much, and choice 3 clearly for people who think problems can be solved without violence. I was just thinking about it, and the Bard Songs are worth a shot. In many games there is a ferociously evil-like beast, but doing something peaceful might help it. Worst comes to worst it comes outside of the cave to kick are asses and we can fight it without rocks smashing us.
Still want to get healed, first though, or at least a medic to heal me.

I am completely biased and I won't even begin to pretend otherwise. In the off chance it doesn't pacify said creature or charm it into helping us, it does lead to us killing it. So a strong ally or xp. These are the options I present to you. And if that doesn't work, then we can just sacrifice another virgin. Surely there's a virgin amongst our ragtag group of anarchy and fail. So in essence: To vote 2 is to vote 3. As far as 1 goes, to assume that closing up the cave will work against a Drake that's so powerful that he has his own religion sacrificing in his name is laughable in itself; its one of those temporary seals where it'd come out a month later going "ROAR I HATE U GUYZ" and come after us after gaining super magical powers of rage over time. 4 is logical, but since when do heroes run away at the face of danger? This is how you get the bad, boring ending of any non-linear RPG. They want drama, they want chaos, they want people to push on with injured wounds to show that in the face of danger you are brave. ... 5 has logic against an ice drake though. Unless the scales are too thick for fire to penetrate, or his ice too strong. If that method fails though, see 1) Except more Rage. We're talking the desecration of corpses. |
