All purpose Poetry thread. hmm. Thinking... Thinking....
The wind she blows on lake Champlain no, that's been done before I love thee truely, yes I do that's rotten to the core the same thing happens every time I try to start a rhyme but oh, it takes so very long to start the first damn line For minutes, hours, days or weeks I say lines in my head Nodding when I think one's found then shaking it instead Sometime I'm driven to the point of instability and I must let my anger out. I miss my poor old tree But hey, that doesn't matter now because it seems that I have finished one more poem though line one is not quite mine and fin. so ends post number three. I hope you all enjoy

Okay...this is weird. I was talking to Cloud on IM and he asked me what I was thinking. And in response this poem came out! It was purely on the spot imagination....as always, enjoy.
About what happened.... About what's to come... And what is here now. Searching for meaning for being... I turn my thoughts to vague lines. And my pen flies across the page... For another felt thing is too large to keep. Coming forth like water from a fountain... My life is displayed among these humble words. They live, they breathe... They are more real than real... I ponder on how I come to this. How I can display such great things, In such little words. Last edited by BlackMageGirl!; 10-24-2004 at 04:04 AM. |

Quote:
An army stands before our gate, Attacking us at home, They charge the walls till hour late, O'er miles have they roamed. Our castle better, kingdom fairer, Than country they came from, I see a young man, banner bearer, Through chill wind they have come. They use their swords, and children too, To take the prize we hold, We fight with heart the whole day through, Each man standing bold. Though we may die, they won't yet win, They cannot have our prize, For our treasure resides in us as kin, For whom we give our lives. When we are gone, and phantoms come, What is it they have gained? The night's long curse will strike them dumb, As murderers they're named.

I pick up an old picture frame...
and stare at the happy girl who was. She who had light, she who was bright Naive, pure, like a delicate flower. Her eyes stare into life and smiles. What has happened to that happy girl? did life wear down those happy features? Like water on the sands of time.... I sit there for a moment. Wishing, wanting....regretting. for actions of long ago for her shattered mirror of innocence. And thus she stands now... the weight of sin in her heart.. The girl she once knew, gone. |

This is more of a frustration poem, if you can call it a poem, more then anything else.
Where are you taking me? I was holding your hand but now i've lost you.. All I see is darkness before me. I cry out, searching for someone to help me. I once held your hand, but you aren't there anymore. Why must you torment me day and day? Why must you confuse me so? Speak now and tell me your reasons. Why you have left me. What is going to happen between us. Are we ever going to be? I just need to remember.. Nothing stands in the way of true love. |

She was standing there
wherever this may be She without a name and always far from me currents deadly flow between the shores of Her and I jagged rocks beneath the rapids and silver little lies once thought I we were the same and only chance had split us now its clear what curse endured the pain of human lust |

The Difficult Choice
The choice lay before me I am left tormented For the choices that lay before me Call to me Each want my attention Each want the others to fail And with this horrible competetion I am in the center They tug at me They yell at me They whisper sweet nothings When the others aren't looking I try to tell them that I'm just not interested in this sort of thing anymore But they are always there Tugging Yelling Sweet Nothings So, at the end, I am left to choose one And the others are heartbroken But is this really my fault?! I mean, who can really choose between Star Ocean 3 Disgea Final Fantasy X or the MGS3 demo? I want to play them all! (heh heh heh. I dedicate this poem to BMG! She knows why.)

wet before the dawn
and all before is calm those fires burned til fuel was gone those metal walls glow red the beating in my head of what was never said a force of nature, gods own hand a bullet through my mind "shes gone!" it screams for good it seems and for the good of her I'd suffer as I do And I want nothing more than to be her paramor but she is not just one all the world embodied "love me!" my soul pleads its dying page, it reads like fiction, cheap and worthless decaying and forgotten nothing left to say but I know someday I'll speak more just the same on topics best left dead |

Here's another BMG! and CS collaboration!
I stand at a crossroads, two paths before me... I wonder which to take, my fears beside thee With you by my side, no challenge is too great But none of the rewards could compensate For true love lost, there is but one choice I wanted to say it, to hear it in my voice... Alas, we could not find the key to it all We left, deep in our sorrows downfall With our friends far behind, I felt the need to comfort you With my feelings aside, were they false or were they true? I now realize, for me, you were always there. too late, it seems, to even compare My heart was with hers, while yours was with mine How cruel it seems, with the passage of time. With her now gone, our chance is renewed And thus I spoke, these events ensued. With our new love, we will find a way Finally, those three words we will say. The world may end, but I will not leave your side. Always together, against times relentless tide. |

It's a feeling quite interesting
still very confusing it is A pain quite searing with this overwhelming bliss It covers doubts and fear only to later lay them bare my health I hold not dear Still forward I stare Swifty moving quite slow Seems like time enough to move Yet still I take quite the blow On I go something left to prove |
