WOHOO, AN UPDATE! Man, this is so good. I love how in the Ocean House at the start she was terrified out of her mind, and now she's just like "Creepy abandoned hospital? Screaming and blood all over the walls? Shyeah, whatever; I'm a vampire, biatch."

I'm amazed that she's lacking confidence in convincing someone to take a walk downstairs when she managed to convince that one guy to shoot himself right in the damn head.

Well as I was a Gangrel I'm not sure if there's a manipulation point in that dialog option with the guy. Using mind control is just hideously evil and probably robs you of a Humanity point, and Helen might not want to it.

There's a manipulation point, and if I remember right it actually GIVES you humanity.

Actually, I assumed you meant dominate, right? In which case: dominate convinces him to disappear forever and never tell anyone what he saw down there. It saves his life, but preserves the masquerade. On the other hand persuasion is used to make him head down and get eaten.

I've beaten this game more than once. Much more than once.

Oh okay. That makes sense.

Yeah I didn't because there was a horrible glitch that made me start sliding around like the ground was ice, and sometimes it would glitch me to the point of running around erratically.

Only recently did I figure out what it was and inspired by the thread I'm playing it again.

Also: Gangrel is terrible. Their main ability--the name of which escapes me because I just woke up from an entire day of sleep about an hour ago--makes the timing on their unarmed (which is the only way it is usable) thus that you can never combo. This makes it less effective than meleeing with a troubador with a severed limb.

True story.

Also troubadors get auspex which also gives you the ability to see in the dark. As well as through walls. And you get wits and perception bonuses for gun fighting and hacking.

They are hax at high levels, with celerity (bullet time, lol) and auspex activated. They also get dominate.

Second favorite is Ventrue. Dominate is amazing, and only ventrue can use it as a dialogue option.
