Have we mentioned Freak Angels yet? This is Warren "Transmetropolitan" Ellis at his best, doing a dozen bitching, snarking, world-destroying psychics* all strolling around a postapocalyptic London and doing their best to weird out each other.
With Ellis ranting, in the comic downtimes, about shooting tyrannosaur sex rays all over the world from his chair. And it's all free on the Internet, without interference from editors or publishers or investors. Writing that just now, I got scared. I haven't read much of it yet, myself. . .

Freak Angels kind of has a problem in posting pages (like those below) where essentially fuck-all happens. While not a (huge) issue in print, updated on the web like this it's rather frustrating and really inflates the length and pacing.

We have a saying in my country: "She who waits for something good can never wait too long."

Sure you can. If you die of old age, well, you've likely waited too long.

Yeah, but only then. It's possible the saying harks from pre-Biblical times when people lived thousands of years. Anyway, if you drop dead before the comic is concluded I promise I'll come to your grave and say "you were right". But only then.

Besides, no hospital comic can ever beat (the now completed) Lucid TV (the archives are linked in the newspost below the comic, and not under 'Archive' now).

Man, Freak Angels was surprisingly enjoyable.
That said, new Lackadaisy, people. Yessss "Oh my, we have an intruder. An armed one." Oh, Rocky.

Warren does that a lot, and yet people are always surprised.
Meanwhile, Monday's QC made me cough up bits of breakfast on the keyboard when I got the pun.

I suppose compared to other Warren Ellis comics Freakangels does feature a surprisingly low amount of all the things he usually includes that I don't mind at all but that I can see how they'd put some people off.
