While we're on the topic:
See, the thing about silhouette objects (like the tree) is, they're just begging to be shaded.

Savage Thinking - Hah awesome. And it's true. Silhoettes are just BEGGING to be colored in. I also love your chibi guys.
Batgirl - Still very awesome. I like the ones you posted on Deviantart too. Nice work. Traditional art a go-go! This was just an in-class practice for using the Cra-pas we're going to be using on our big projects. It was too big to fit in my scanner too, but I kind of like where it cropped off, plus it still works to show the coloring so... yay! I don't usually think very highly of my coloring, but I'm very pleased with this. My very first attempt with cra-pas ended up with me putting way too much pigment down and it not looking "real". Cra-pas are actually kind of difficult to get the hang of, in my opinion. Subject is a guy in my art class. Time: About 3 hours Medium: Cra-Pas Oil Pastel.

CJ, I gotta say, the coloring is totally awesome. The eyes and jawline come off as wonky, though. Other than that, really cool.
... And now here's Jesus playing an intense rock guitar solo while at the same time fighting intergalactic dinosaurs. His hair just looks fabulous.

Portrait sketch of my trig teacher. You might think its a bad drawing, but he's really just a weird looking mother-fucker. His stupid grin took the longest to render. Still not entirely satisfied with it. I ACHE to do a colored drawing but have run dry on inspiration. Someone request a drawing from me, please? Be it of your character, you, a certain character...Anything. Edit: This is based on a dream my friend had; Yeah, the coloring pretty much sucks... Last edited by TDK; 10-19-2008 at 01:45 PM. |
