In Marvel vs Capcom they put in Mega Man Tron Bonne and a ton of Mega Man related stuff.
I see no reason for them to not put the same in this one. Mega Man is one of their flagships after all.

Yeah, but Rock is one of the two traditional* Mega Men who haven't been included in a fighting game**, the other one being X. It's time the guy gets the representation he deserves.
*Starforce and ZX don't count because they are recent and couldn't have possibly been in previous fighters. **Classic Mega Man: Marvel Vs. Capcom, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2; Zero: Capcom Vs. SNK something something, Onimusha Blade Warriors; Mega Man.EXE: Onimusha Blade Warriors. Last edited by Regulus Tera; 05-22-2008 at 02:08 AM. |

Let us all mourn at DIRECT FEED PICS OF GLORIOUS LOVE WE'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO PLAY WITH BECAUSE WE'RE NOT JAPANESE.
I'm impressed at the graphics. They'd hype me more for this than Street Fighter IV if this game were to come out here (NEVER!!). It literally looks like cell coloured animation cutouts fighting... but in 2.5D! Last edited by Regulus Tera; 05-22-2008 at 06:28 PM. |

Aw man, the special moves? Awesome. And I really like the pose bird Gatchaman guy does. Really superhero-ish.

That looks glorious. I'm betting on a PS360 home port now.
e: Wii even. ee: translation of the famitsu article thanks to someone Here's my translation of the article on Famitsuu.com. Some bits may be a bit shoddy, but that's basically only the character profiles which I'm sure no-one really cares about anyway. Excuses in advances for blatant mis-romanization of anything related to the Tatsunoko characters; I'm not familiar with them so I had to do some educated guesses. [Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes] The Tag Battle of dreams is unveiled With Sengoku Basara X out in April, Fate/Unlimited Code scheduled for June, and Street Fighter IV scheduled for July, Capcom are really showering fighting game fans with new games. Now, Capcom announces one more new fighting game - Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes. Capcom's characters continue taking on super heroes from all over the world in this newest installment of the VS. series. As the title implies, this time the rival is Tatsunoko Production. Now, Tatsunoko heroes from the likes of "Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman" and "Shinzo Ningen Casshan" will take on Capcom characters like Ryu and Chun-Li in a new tag battle! 2 on 2 Tag Battle! New systems as well!? In Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes, battles are fought in a 2 on 2 tag setting. You can choose any two characters to form a team you like. You can switch characters any time you like, as well as using techniques like "tag attack", "assist attack" and "counter attack". Of course, the stylish Hyper Combos and Team Hypers using both characters are still here as well. In addition, maybe there are systems we haven't seen yet...!? Super Jumps and mid-air fighting! Apart from the tag system, the series is also known for the Super Jumps and fighting in mid-air. You can even launch the opponent into the air, jump after them and perform an "Aerial Rave". This really fits the Hero characters and their dynamic fighting styles. Introduction of characters So far, the confirmed characters are Owashi no Ken and Casshan from the Tatsunoko side, and Ryu and Chun-Li from the Capcom side. What kind of special moves can we expect to see again from the Tatsunoko heroes? How will Ryu and Chun-Li fight against the Tatsunoko heroes? There are many unanswered questions, but following is an introduction of each character, with illustrations and screenshots. The soaring white shadow Owashi no Ken Voice: Mori Katsuji Previous appearances: Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman ('72), Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman II ('78), Kagaku Ninjatai Gatchaman F ('79) Leader of the Science Ninja Team. Transforms into a bird-styled appearance, and uses his eagle-shaped "birderang" as his weapon. Real name is Washio Ken. 18 years old. In his daily life, he is a test pilot. He pilots the G-1 airplane which can combine with the GodPhoenix (?). Ken keeps chasing the ghost of his father who he lost as a young child(??). (I take it this makes more sense if you are familiar with Gatchaman) -Owashi no Ken vs Ryu. In the background, you can see Yatta One from "Yattaman". -Mid-air combat looks to be Owashi no Ken's specialty. What kind of special moves will he have? -Owashi no Ken's special move hits Casshan. In the background, you can see Kobun from Rockman DASH. Lightning of Destruction Casshan Voice: Ono Daisuke Previous appearances: Shinzo Ningen Casshan ('73) Neo-Human created by infusing an invincible body with the data of Azuma Tetsuya. Fights against the Black King and his Android army, who are trying to exterminate mankind. His opening and closing face mask, pulsar motors on his hips and retractable legs(?) are his trademark features as a Neo-Human, and his fighting skills are second to none. Fights alongside his partner Friender, a robot dog who transforms into various shapes. -Casshan's electric punch. How effective is it? -Casshan shows off the kicks he uses to destroy the Android army. -Looks like Friender will show up in support attacks. -Casshan assaulting Ryu with his Hyper Combo. When performing a Hyper Combo, the background changes. Humble Fighting Spirit Ryu Voice: Takahashi Hiroki Previous appearances: Street Fighter Series, Capcom Vs. SNK series, etc. The lone fighter who always searches for a stronger opponent to become a "true martial artist". In the previous Vs. Series games, he was always able to come to a mutual understanding with his opponent through fighting(?). His special moves like the Hadouken and Shoryuken need no introduction. -Ryu's HP. Are his normals based on Street Fighter III? -Will any of the Tatsunoko heroes use a Hadouken(?)? -Casshan is attacked by a Shoryuken. -Ryu's Hyper Combo is Shinkuu Hadouken. The opponent is assaulted by a huge beam. Sky-splitting storm of kicks Chun-Li Voice:Orikasa Fumiko Previous appearances: Street Fighter II series, Street Fighter III 3rd Strike, Street Fighter IV, etc. Martial artist representing China. A Kung Fu practitioner who uses her speed and kicks as her weapons, she's also a police officer going after the criminal organization Shadaloo, responsible for the disappearance of her father. In previous series, her story's always had a strong connection to Vega, the head of Shadaloo. -Chun-Li launches Casshan into the air with a kick. Following this, will she able to do a Super Jump and a mid-air combo? -Chun-Li moves in on her opponent with a mid-air dash. Can she beat Owashi no Ken in air-to-air combat? -In the Vs. Series, Chun-Li can do her Hyakuretsu Kyaku in mid-air. -Chun-Li's Hyper Combo, the Kikoushou is huge as well. She can attack from quite a range. Last edited by mudah.swf; 05-23-2008 at 12:12 PM. |
