This is why you mod oblivion.
Honestly I've fixed every single problem brought up in this thread with mods, and then some. While honestly in dire need of fixing, the game actually allows you to fix it yourself. (PC ftw anyway!) Archery, Magic, levelscaling, enemies, right down to lava textures, all fixed. It adds a new dimension when you can go fight enemies way out of your league, cleave through random extras overworld, and hunt for priceless artifacts that aren't there in vanilla. They're actually incredibly well done, too. Some of the skins from the community modders are superior to the bethsoft ones.

But yeah, I was about to say this same thing. I've modded the crap out of oblivion, and none of your guys' problems really apply to me anymore. I even fixed vampirism to not be stupid.

Excuse us for playing console versions because of ridiculous software costs.

Which software are you referring to? Because Oblivion isn't very needy in terms of tech requirements, and it's cheap for PC.

I'm sorry, I meant hardware. Because my PC can't run oblivion without a decent graphics card and I'm poor, so no oblivion. That and playing both oblivion and shivering isles costs 7 bucks for a week to rent. Computer games can't compete with that.

Has no one mentioned SSBB Tripping yet?
Also I would appreciate if Rock Band/Guitar Hero rankings were more tuned to song completion. I'm sick of getting 4 stars with 97%.

Honestly, you can solve most difficulty issues in Oblivion by turning down the slide bar.
The lack of pole and throwing weaponry is astounding, though. I mean, you have axes, hammers, knives, bows, arrows, maces, and various swords, but throwing stars and pole weapons were removed intentionally. Something about putting more focus on things that weren't weaponry, and making the weaponry they had work all that much better.

I really hope that was one of DFM's one-sentence Sarcasm-O-Meter needle-burier.
I hate tripping so much. I know it was to prevent against dashdancing and foxtrotting (Both of which are still in use despite this) but it's annoying to have a fighting game - even one that's predominately a party game - be based on totally random variables that the player has no control over.
