I hate to post off-topic in a thread in here but howabouts would a gentleman like myself get involved in one of these things? I've been wanting to get in on one of these for a while and I always miss the signups.

Really its simply just wait until the next one goes up. My game is still in progress and only on day 2, so the next sign-ups will probably be a bit, but if you check the list, you could find out who is going to run it in advance, and see if they are willing to send you a PM reminder when sign-ups come up, or just see if you can sign-up early.
