Okay, Red Mage might not be good, but I don't think he counts as evil. I mean, granted he brutally mutilated a bunch of chocobos and deep down he's probably the most power-hungry of the lot, but...uhh...he did try to keep Black Mage and Thief from killing all of the dwarves. Also he occasionally has objections to obscenely needless and pointless evil. I would say he's just amoral.

*forgot about those 2 references*
I just don't want to see any moar FF7 reference.s Besides, he proved himself to be worthless at the start of the series, no way he's coming back after THAT. the heroes from 4,5,and 6 led by white mage seems moar possible. |

I wish them the best. They might be rather bastardish, but I still love them.

What I want? The team finally gets together and fights to raise their level in a boring and bloody grind, because they have to and surrender the possibility of alternatives. They get super high, kill Chaos, only to reveal that Chaos was intentionally drawn in by Sarda as a means of forcing them to become the real Warriors of Light. The evidence that this action is completely contradictory toward Sarda's actions beforehand cause them to suspect their reality, which brings White Mage out.
White Mage, who has died, and thus given the opportunity to grow into her omnipotence, reveals her meta-reality as knowing everything ever, quite over and above what Sarda does (a point which probably takes a few comics of skepticism by Red and Black Mages), explains that because of her being at the very beginning, she had the opportunity to write Sarda into existence. Biased by her subjective reality of mortality, she chose "The Warriors of Light" to become the actual "Warriors of Light" and complete the task designated to "The Warriors of Light", which becomes a task of universal importance (despite that the task otherwise would have been left as trivial). Revealing this, she explains that destroying Chaos is undeniably "good", even though the task was wrought from necessity, similar heroes have done legendary deeds for similar reason. Specifying the relevance of this, she explains that doing this undeniably "good" task (as well as the fact that killing the god of worship) means that Black Mage cannot be considered wholly evil, and no matter how evil he becomes thenceforth, it cannot erase that. Morally defeating Black Mage, White Mage leaves, and the Dark Warriors (or whatever they're called) come up with some half-baked plan that works miraculously well, which ends in the death of Black Mage. Unable to attain the quality of ultimate evil, and left without an afterlife-of-choice, Black Mage is left in utter emptiness, unable to alter anything around him, and powerless to alleviate the situation. Since the subjective reality of the omnipotent deity is resolved, she ignores the world as the work Thief ravages it and sunders it with corruption, the work of Fighter as his legacy goes on to right injustice (which seems to be left by the legacy of Thief), and the work of Red Mage as his insanity and inability to consistently control his body causes him to become to continuation of monsters in the land. There, a "re-"creation myth. And that's what I want to happen. |

I'm not exactly sure how i want it to happen, but i want them to live, esp BM and Theif. Maybe do something like how after Fighter became a drownball champion and he told Sarda that, Theif thought it broke his mind to try and understand drownball. I loved that, plus, it shows Fighter's stupidity is greater than Sarda's knowledge. Oh, it would be sick to have a huge war between Stupid and Wise!!! Not necessarily good and evil, but still....

I'd love to see the FF2 heroes called into action.
"Jesus! Why did you hit me in the face with that staff?" "Oh, I'm just raising my Staff level. Your HP will go up, though, so stop whining."

I'm going to get shot for saying this, but at this juncture I kind of just want 8BT to end.
I mean I'd like it to end in a somewhat satisfying way if at all possible, but really, it just needs to end. There's more projects I want Brian to be working on that won't require him to continue investing time into a sinkhole of the same gags ad nauseum. I hope that kind of a statement isn't construed as offensive bashing of his product, as I really appreciate 8BT and I think Brian's done an amazing job overall. It's just that lately I'm much more interested in HIKYM and Atomic Robo and Warbot in Accounting, and I don't think that's coincidental. His other projects feel fresh and exciting; 8BT feels like a continual rehash of the same jokes regarding the same personalities, and I almost feel under the impression that pure nostalgia alone is the primary factor behind Brian finding ways to arbitrarily extend the plot, as if he didn't want the journey to end. (Comparable to the movie ending of Return of the King, perhaps?)

Well, how about maybe some huge thing happening where all of their personalites get mixed up them. Like, BM talks and acts like fighter, Red Mage becomes a thief, Fighter becomes White Mage, and White Mage acts like Black Mage. That would be friggin EPIC
