Everyone is getting married and/or pregnant, and I'm staring at a dissertation, the last hurdle before the rest of my life. I am not sure I want to get older.

It really feels weird when you start talking and talking and they have no clue what the hell you're making references to.

Which reminds me, when most of the time, you talk about school and responsibilities when friends come along and have... "fun". I mean, sure, I try to be as immature as I humanly can, but sometimes, it just gets to you and before you know it, you're all talking about such class or the schedule you got for next semester.

When you watch old cartoons you were into way back when....and then think "I was into this stupid stuff?"

Rocko's still awesome though. But Ren and Stimpy didn't age well in my opinon.

When I was 19, I was looking through a magazine, and for the first time I realized that not only did I not recognize the celebrities featured, they were all younger than me.

Also, a lot of my friends (and some of their younger siblings) are getting married and buying houses and shit, while I'm still in school. I don't really feel bad about where I am -- I honestly don't want to do that stuff now, and some of it I don't want to do ever -- but it makes me feel like I should feel bad, y'know?

I don't know why but it's like "You know, they did make more..."

Being young at heart can be a good thing. I think that I am. But there are many downsides to that - One is that you leap into positions of responsibility that you couldn't possibly be prepared for simply becuase they were held before you for years like a carrot leading a horse. Another is while you maintain essentially the same interests well into your 30s (I'm guessing) you have less and less patience and energy for them.
