A question:

Hollows are not exactly undead, right? So do they draw power from negative energy, like undead do?

I think hollows draw most of their power from the spiritual realm, which I think the only other people to do that when you think about it is humans. All undead draw it from other places. At least thats what I think.

That looked like they were talking to me too. Sprinkle, normally we use Italics to show thoughts, not "(insert text here)" He thought. Usually less confusing.

Undead draw upon the negative plane. It's what gives them unlife and heals them.

I know. But as hollows aren't technically undead (or so I've heard), I was wondering how they'd react to it. As I'm playing a character who has at least a passing knowledge of these things, I figured I should know.

Hollows are not undead, they are twisted spiritual beings you could call it. They do not draw from the negetive energy, its from spiritual energy like you said.

Spritual energy is an inner source, neither hollows nor Shinigami (who will probaly not be included beyond references) draw from an external source.

Their are two ways to increase spritual energy normally, feeding one souls with energy like hollows or training. For the alive, people can also be born with high spritual energy, or when around a person with abnormaly high spiritual energy it siphons off into them aswell.

But since we've already established that spirit-energy can kill them, and Valas has already sent off some people in search of spirit-energy weapons, guess it'd be safe to say (for the sake of keeping some meaning to the quest) that it'd only weaken them.
