Random voting is par for the course on Day 1. You gauge people's reactions and try to ferret out the scum. But rushing into a Day 1 lynch before evidence has arisen does indeed benefit only the mafia. Speaking of which. . .

And since I have at least two hands worth of fingers to point with, I'll go ahead and FOS: IHMN as well. I know the whole random thing is your style and all, but I found it suspicious in the last game and I find it no less so in this game.

If we lynch by the list, it eliminates mafia and cult trying to manipulate votes. We just accept that we will kill townies with lynches in the process (It will happen anyway, mafia don't get lynched that often).

It also hurts the cult. If we lynch from the bottom, it's pointless to recruit the bottom people. The mafia and SK will kill from the top as well, giving them a good chance to kill whoever the cult leader initiates.

After awhile we'll just have to look at how the mafia has been killing and see if we can figure out who they have been skipping (A mafia member).

Unless they kill completely randomly.

The cult does not have to recuit from the top. It can take people from the middle of the list.

Following the list creates predictability. Predictability allows the mafia and cult to create plans. Plans by the mafia and cult never bode well for the town.

Now that you explain it, it makes sense. Now that I think about it, it makes less sense than ever.

The thing is, is that we need to remove all of the mafia before they reduce the number of remaining players to twice their own. Think about that.

How long is this "while" that we'd wait to see who the mafia skip?

The way it looks to me, is that we'd end up doing the same damn thing with less allies to aid us.

And I don't know how long we would vote from the bottom. I suppose the best bet would be once it gets down to 17ish people, so the mafia isn't near majority yet, but still have lynched a good ways up from the bottom.

Guys? This is getting ridiculous. This may sound like a promotion of bandwagoning, in fact, I think it does sound like one, and if somebody else were to point it out, I would probably accuse them as such, but I really think it needs to be said:

Voting for 6 different people accomplishes nothing.

Okay not really. Lets see here...

I'm leaning towards Roy right now, only cuz he too did a random vote right off the bat, which I think he did to try to establish a position early in game as a leader, which is where you want to be if you are mafia.
