I've never had such a worse incarnation of Simon Belmont in all of my wildest imaginations.

Van Helsing was okay if you just picked up a movie in Blockbuster and thought, "I want to see a midevil action movie." I thought it was a perfectly fine movie. They just took Van Helsing's name and tried to make it more bounty-hunter ish. It felt, to me, more like a spinoff - an inspired work that really just uses the world and takes it on it's own way.

See, I liked Van Helsing just because it was so horrible. The acting of the brides makes you want to douse them in holy water and then stab them with stakes, but it was still a decent action flick. It was hokey, and it was fun to laugh at its hokeyness. So horrible, so awfully horrible... and yet it's like the car wreck you can't look away from. The one you want to laugh at but you aren't sure if you should.

Plus, it had the guy who played Faramir in it, and that's just funny and cool at the same time.

And Anna's brother was hot.

Whoops, did I say that out loud?



But I'll be interested in seeing how they try to pull off a Castlevania movie without making it Van Helsing Has A Whip Now And Loses the Fedora.
