Quote:
And are you taking suggestions for races? If you some how added a vampire race (And they just happen to be mentally powerful in the psionic department), I would easily switch to that race... (Mainly because while writing my bio, I realized how much I am taking off from my idea of a vampire) Edit - My idea being every vampire story from any source mixed into one...
Actually... Vampirism and Lycanthropy are both diseases the way I have it planned... so if you wanted you could be a Vampire X, where the X is a race... so long as the race doesn't have a high degree of immunity (low percent in disease susceptability) to magical and/or physical disease. And rock men are immune to both lycanthropy and vampirism, on the basis that you can't really bite or scratch them... unless you want broken teeth and claws. (Vampire Illithid! Man... the NPCs would hate that character... and I'm not sure Ren and Jareth are gonna like him having a faerie slave much either, but that's life, eh?)

Vampires are about two-three times as strong/fast then when they were alive at the time of their 'conception'... and get stronger with age. Sunlight will kill a vampire after a few minutes of exposure, however... and they also tend to be rather weak to fire and 'life' magics. They're also ageless (duh). At least that's how I had them planned... if you have something different in mind you can talk to me... and I'll discuss it with Ren.

And Biran: If you have any trouble understanding anything, you can ask me and I'll explain it. It shouldn't be that difficult... there's just a lot of writing.

Annnd... I'm suppose to do the Unseelie Court description so you folks know what it is.

The Unseelie Court:

The Unseelie Court can be anything from an amusement park to a rave to a torture chamber, depending on what parts of it you visit. The people there are varied, and their code allows for all kinds of activities, from peeling the skin off of a human for fun, to large public orgies (that will not, ever, be described), and as such all types of activities take place in the Unseelie Court daily.

The court itself is in a magically sealed realm, much like the Seelie Court, and the resemblance does not end there for the Unseelie Court can be easiest described as a dark and twisted version of the Seelie Court. It's city, Satevaxae, is also built on a hill surrounding the palace of the king, but the Unseelie Lands are in a state of constant fall, with dry dead leaves littering the country side and black twisted trees and foliage sprouting up haphazardly. Occassionaly amidst it all there is a garden or forest, but even they are usually dark and twisted. The forests are forboding and seem to eminate evil auras, while the few gardens that are about have plants that are twisted magically into unnatural and, often, ghastly shapes, and the realm lies beneath a perpetual night.

The city of Satevaxae itself appears to be a mass of onyx, obsidian, silver, and gold, with buildings that seem as though they were designed by an architect with nothing in his mind other than the thought of whether it would be possible to make something stand at such odd angles. Some buildings jut out of the ground, curving toward the sky lik damascus blades, while others stick out of the ground haphazardly, reminiscent of jagged rocks, others still appear to be globes with strange protrusions from them, and those are simply the shapes that were easiest to relate.

The architecture of the palace itself is not much different, with the walls and spires seeming to warp unnaturally from outside, almost as if one was viewing the building through a hazy piece of glass. It, also, was created from onyx, obsidian, silver, and gold, much as the city around it, and, like the Seelie Palace, it too is built around a large garden, however, this garden is not as beautiful. The trees are dark and twisted, yet horribly beautiful, and the other plants are mostly carnivorous or enchanted to be such. Within that garden one may watch a red rose with a black stem kill swallow a spider, as naturally as if that is the way all roses live.

Other than the atrium the palace also contains a large dining hall, which--again, like the Seelie Court--is made of large ancient trees, but the folliage of these trees are all dead causing black twisted branches to cover the dining area. There is also a single 'dance' room, during which one may always find a collection of scantily, if at all, clad faeries, imps, trolls, ogres, elves, half-elves, sprites, and anything other creature found in the court, grinding to primal rhythms, eating, or fornicating. The walls of that room are lined with trays of food and euphoric drugs, mostly refined from Faerie Dragons. The faerie dragons themselves have their own section of the palace where they are taken care of wonderfully, so long as they give their breath to any who wish to receive the sweet drugs contained within.

The throneroom, however, is actually quite terrifying, with dark blood-stained alcoves lining the walls, and grates along the floor where one can see mortals being tortured to death by trolls, ogres, and other evil fae. The ceiling is crafted of blood stained gold and a path marked by dark velvet leads up to an amethyst throne, in the shape of of the gaping maw of a shadow dragon, and it's seat is made red silk stuffed with crow feathers in the shape of the creature's tongue.

The people of the Unseelie Court are of any fae race and of any temperment or idealogy... except those who are prudish or 'holier than thou'. It is rather required that any unseelie understand differences and accept them to an extreme beyond what anyone else may believe, and to that end there are few actual 'servants' to the throne... and those who are generally receive sexual pleasure from being denigrated and objectified.

Do you mean 2/3 times as strong/fast as in a power increase or decrease?

And I was suggesting a vampire because my guy is going to do the whole 'Lives in a castle above a large human city and rules over it', and that made me think of vampires and how cool they are...

So I can be a Vampire Illithid?

(Stupid small octopus for head... Keeps making me question my choice despite that fact that I could technically rule over all of you...)

Edit - And with Forever and me being magic users (Good ones at that), does that mean no more magic people? (Said in your first post that there should only be one or two magic people)

Yes IHMN, go vampire and attempt to rule over me... Because I still remember that most undead, including vampires, are weak against fire, muahaha...

If you want, I can write a little race bio thing on my idea of a vampire (Probably turn into strong creatures with pscionic abilities (Almost those of a Illithid), but extremely odd and unique weaknesses)

2 to 3 times faster and stronger, so a power increase.

And yah, you can be an illithid vampire... but... um... eating will be... messy to say the least. You'd have to use your tentacles to rip open a major artery (as opposed to the skull like a NORMAL illithid) and drink blood as it squirts all over the damn place.

As for ruling over a city of humans... a little iffy, considering illithids rarely come up from the underdark, and any human city being ruled over by anything not human would bring down the proverbial thunder. A city of drow, duergar, or kua-toa maybe... but I'll have to talk to Ren about that. Big things and I must confer with my allies.... and after conferring (she came back from away while I was typing), you can rule over an Underdark City (the races I put up there... and the Kua-toa tend to have actual kingdoms of thousands in one city, by the way), or an undead city... there will be an area that is ruled by a necromancer in the world, that is all undead living within it... I hadn't planned on putting it in the rp, but if you want (although I think you'd rather rule over a group that isn't undead). IF you wanted to be a half-elf or human Vampire, then you could probably rule a human city.

As for the magic people thing... No more 'career' mages/psionicists.... but if someone wants to be a fae race, they're going to know a little (unless it's a dark fae race, like trolls)... but I don't want them mastering any magic... like some travelling magic (like fly), maybe a protection spell... and one or two weak attack spells, and that's it... other than their innate abilities to glamour (create illusions [especially over themselves] that can be seen and felt), and to become invisible... depending on the fae race in question I'll tell them how many spells/what power they get (faeries are going to have more than a faerie dragon, innately... and I only want them going off innate abilities)

And you can write up the vampire thing if you want... and I and Ren will look it over and probably tweak it some.

With my Illithid, no one would know he is an Illithid (Mainly because he prefers humans). Mental camoeflauge and his slave Faerie would make him look human.

But I rather pick a vampire (Have a way of it mainly being only human vampires), so I shall write up something (It will be an odd variety of it because I still want psionics, but a vampire none the less). I am suspecting tweaking needed, since as I am thinking of it the stats are aleady to high...

(Added in lots of crap since I am expecting many changes)

Vampires (Human Vampires)
Home: Hidden Everywhere (Small numbers though)
Description: No one knows where the first vampire came from. How ever, soon after their birth a clan was formed. Every vampire is part of this clan, those that are not are killed. While almost any race is a victim of vampires, humans are the prefered spieces to feed off of. They are the easiest prey, they are plentiful, and the original vampires were human ones. Personality wise, the vampires are much like humans, though they consider themselves even more superior then humans do, often making them to cocky and unliked by most races. The vampire society is run by a council of thirteen vampires, and are ruled very strictly. Any new vampire must first be confirmed by the council, or the new vampire and the one that turned him/her/it will be killed. Being a very picky and 'superior' race, the council rarely allows new vampires (This doesn't include birth of natural vampires, but ones that were turned). Often, 'familes' of vampires will rule over small human villages and towns, though the more powerful families can rule larger cities. Being in small numbers though (Less then most other races, don't know much many other races have so no numbers), they tend to only serve as assassins and spies when they are allied with another race, and never make armies. They tend to never aid any other race unless they are given something they need or want.

Stat Potential
Str: Good
Agi: Good
Dex: Good
Con: (I do not know what this is)
Int: Very Good
Wis: Good
Wil: Above Average
Per: (I do not know what this is)
Cha: Superior (Due to memorize)
Size: 6'
Weight: 160

Maximum Age: Ageless
Dietary Requirements: Blood
Number of limbs: 2
Natural Armor: Above Average
Natural Weapons: Good
Skill Learn Rate: Above Average
Poison Spread Rate: (Either Above Average or Below Average, whichever is better for this)
Vision: Very Dark to Dim (Maximun increases with age of vampire)

Eq Slots: Head, Torso, Two Arms, Two Legs, Two Hands, Two Feet, Ten Fingers.
Advantages: Superior to humans. Can recover from anything with enough blood. One animal transformation and/or mist. Innate with Telepathy.
Disadvantages: Sunlight kills (Unless extremely old), Silver to a vampire is like iron to a Fae (Must make skin contact though). Stake in heart kills them as long as stake remains there. Can't cross any body of water unless using some sort of raft (Coffin, boat, piece of wood). Garlic is a poison to vampires (Only in large quantities, a small amount on food is just an itchy throat). 'Holy' magic is extra painful to them, as well as fire.
Miscellaneous: Vampires can memorize almost anyone with eye contact, especially those of the opposite sex. Non vampires only become vampires when the vampiring biten race X injects it's own vampire blood into the victim.
natural terrain: Cities.
Resistances and Vulnerabilities: 250% damage from silver. 200% damage from sunlight (Only sunlight, not any other kind of light). 150% from Holy and Fire Magic.
Immune to: none
Disease Susceptibility: 75% physical/mental/magical

Damage Regeneration: Average
Mana Regeneration: Above Average
Endurance Regeneration: Good
Psionic Regeneration: Very Good
Commands: Memorize, Blood control

(Also, if enough of the vampire is not changed, my character would mainly only use Telepathy skills instead of starting with many different types like the Illithid)

Con is constitution, and Per is perception... here's what I and Ren came up with:

Vampires
Home: Hidden Everywhere (Small numbers though)
Description: No one knows where the first vampire came from. How ever, soon after their birth a clan was formed. Every vampire is part of this clan, those that are not are killed. While almost any race is a victim of vampires, humans are the prefered spieces to feed off of. They are the easiest prey, they are plentiful, and the original vampires were human ones. Personality wise, the vampires are much like humans, though they consider themselves even more superior then humans do, often making them to cocky and unliked by most races.

Str: 2x mortal + 1.1x per year
Agi: 2x mortal + 1.1x per year
Dex: 2x mortal + 1.1x per year
Con: 3x mortal + 1.1x per year
Int: 1x mortal
Wis: 1x mortal
Wil: 1.5x mortal +1.05x per year
Per: 1x mortal
Cha: 1.5x mortal for races resembling humans. 1x for all other races. (Memorize would be a non-passive ability, so to people you don't use it on, that's what you would be...)
Size: 6'
Weight: 160

Maximum Age: Ageless
Dietary Requirements: Blood
Number of limbs: 2
Natural Armor: Above Average
Natural Weapons: Above Average
Skill Learn Rate: Average
Poison Spread Rate: Above Average
Vision: No Light to Dim (Maximum increases with age of vampire)

Eq Slots: Same as mortal.
Advantages: Superior to humans. Can recover from anything other than decapitation, extreme burns (sunlight or powerful fire magic), or a staked heart. Innate metamorphisis. Ability to memorize.
Disadvantages: Sunlight kills (Unless extremely old), Silver to a vampire is like iron to a faerie (Must make skin contact though). Stake in heart kills them. Garlic is a poison to vampires (Only in large quantities, a small amount on food is just an itchy throat). 'Holy' magic is extra painful to them, as well as fire.
Miscellaneous: Vampires can, given a brief willpower struggle weighted in their favor, inflict a mental disease on nearly anybody. Creatures of the opposing gender are particularily susceptible. Non-vampires only become vampires when the vampiring biting race X injects it's own vampire blood into the victim, thus infecting them with the disease.
natural terrain: Cities, particularily back alleys.
Resistances and Vulnerabilities: 250% damage from silver. Take massive damage from sunlight or spells specifically created to duplicate sunlight (A percent doesn't really work, because percents are multiplications, and multiplications require a base... but sunlight doesn't really have a base damage for anything but vamps). 150% from Holy and Fire Magic.
Immune to: Most Poisons, other than garlic and some blood diseases
Disease Susceptibility: 0% physical, 75% mental, 75%magical

All above in addition to mortal.

Damage Regeneration: Excellent
Mana Regeneration: Average
Endurance Regeneration: Excellent
Psionic Regeneration: Very Good
Commands: Memorize, Blood control, and any mortal commands

Also... I removed some of the innate telepathy. You can give him most of the same abilities as the illithid, seeming as you wanted to be the psioncist. If not, then that'll leave a 'master' psioncist/mage spot open, seeming as you're only going to take a few telepathy skills?

And, I altered the stats to make it more of a basic vampirism template...

Also... I made a stake through the heart kill permanently, and removed the water aversion... and changed some wording in your silver thing... only faeries are weak to iron. Not all the fae races. Faeries are the only ones I had enough trouble balancing that I felt the need to add something like that.

Eh, I was going to do what you did with stats, but that seemed to confusing. So instead I made up a reason why there would only be human vampires, then just gave them better then human stats... Your way works to though.

And I didn't mean a few Telepathy skills, but most of them when I said Vampires are innate with Telepathy (Since it is like Memorize). Figured I wouldn't get to do all the stuff I can do with an Illithid. I'm defientaly going to be the 'master' psioncist, but I was just going to start with the Telepathy skills mainly (You said we get better as we go along). Edit 3 - Vampires seem like a race of creatures that would play tricks with your minds.

Edit - Nevermind.

Edit 2 - If a stake in the heart kills, how does a vampire heal it with blood? (Says so in advantages)

Actually... I said 'other than' so those are the only three things they can't recover from. Stakes, sunlight and decapitation. I also altered it a bit and removed 'with blood'... meaning that they need blood to survive, but they don't need to go drink blood everytime they get cut. Mostly because it would be annoying having you eyeing up my neck everytime you mishandled a piece of paper...

And, let's change the transformations to innate ability to use metamorphisis (the psionic ability)...

Also: you can learn all the telepathy skills and one or two from someplace else... and yah, you'll get better as you go along.

Edit: I don't want vamps to have innate telepathy skills, because then any vamp would have it, and it makes you more of 'just a vampire' and less of a psioncist.

The 'with blood' meant that if the vampire drinks blood, the wound will heal even faster. And vampires can bite anywhere, not just the neck...

And every Telepathy skill you say? I am assuming that means he can be very good at one or two of those skills, ok at the rest, and ok at the one or two other skills I choose.

Edit - Good point... Though I did mean it in more of just their Memorizing ability.
