so far my impressions of the game is that is pretty cool.
I was completely blown away by the character creation aspect. No game comes close that I've played(shadowbane, daoc, swg, ffxi)

Combat is very involved since the delay in out attacks is based off the powers you use.
It's also unusual in game to be fighting more then one enemy at a time, but my scrapper just ripped through like 4 enemies. I'm having fun right now and would be playing but the server is down for patching

ive decided i'm gonna get it when it comes out, but ill probably only get a month subscription at first, but i have a feeling this is gonna be overtaking my life like EnB did.

Long time lurker, first time poster...

Having played 2 characters to level 18 and then playing at level 34 with bumped characters, I can tell you that his game is absolutely awesome. It is far better than anything else out there...if you can't stand the finding-a-group problems that drove me away from FFXI.

I am not going to go into details about every aspect of the game that is fun, but the best part of it has to be combat. Every skill except for taunt takes 'stamina' (kinda like magic points if you will) and the combat is fast and furious. No more staring at the screen for 5 minutes while you bash on a monster...it is 8 heroes vs. 20 criminals/ninjas/ghosts/brainwashed ex-heroes/nazi robots in a very small room and the effects just fly all over the place. It is not uncommon for me, having played the game for 7 weeks now, to play for 4 or 5 hours and not once even look at my xp bar. It is that involved. Anyone who has played MMORPGs, especially EQ (anyone else ever spend a month camping dreadlands?), should be able to comprehend the enormity of that last statement. ^^ No, Im not paid by Cryptic to advertise, I just think this game is good enough to register my lazy butt and finally post.

And as far as Brian's post about KSing...once you get past level 10 you will likely never see a KS again.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I will be playing on Guardian. If anyone needs any help/advice/groups whatever, look for Nazragul, Calico (was Snow Lynx in beta), or Bastet.

I don't know about that. My energy blaster had quite a few kills stolen from him. But then again, i've killed purples(solo) because of the ubseen range on sniper shot combined with the YOU Can't Touch meness of hover(just as long as the enemy doesn't have something off that range or has flight, then i'm screwed).
I can't see that going on for too long it's going to get nerfed.
I've basically played every blaster, scrapper, and tanker primary power set up to 8 to get a feel for the class.

Well, yes...I have personally accidentily KSed hovering blasters...I mean, if you are 60 feet away and 25 feet up in the air...it's kinda hard to see that someone is attacking the group.
Hover-sniping has been nerfed, the new AI causes baddies to run away from you when you do it, and since hover is so slow you have to land to catch up...then they come running back to you and hit ya. In theory anyway. KSing happens, but you still get partial xp and there are always more baddies right around the corner. And, as I said...you wont get KSed much at higher levels, which you admitted you haven't had the opportunity to play. I included a pic of my character at a scenic locale because...I can! :bmage:
