Actually, taken in this context "fail" is understood by all to mean the noun "failure", which is grammatically correct if used instead of just "fail", but lacks the OOMPH of modern day devil may care neo-vocabulary.

You know after a week or two of getting used to it, and within the presently applied limitations, those are surprisingly unobtrusive.
