What does the Adventurer's Guild Guidebook say is standard protocol after finishing a mission anyway?

Section 5, subsection 33 of the Adventurer's Guild Guidebook reads as follows.

...if however, you have significantly bloodied yourself, whether through injury or other means, a responsible adventurer should always attempt to find a stream, bath tub, shower, or other cleaning apparatus before mingling too deeply with society. The guild's members are already distrusted and feared by many of the common folk, and it does the guild a disservice to further incense this unnecessary fear. It is not good for business if our clients are too frightened to hire us, and therefore any guild member in good standing should attempt to limit post-battle socialization until they have groomed.

It continues on talking about tricks like using saline or ginger ale to get blood stains out of clothes, etc. for awhile, but I think I got the gist of the parts you should be concerned with.

Hmm do they have lodging at the guild hall or are we going to have to start buying trips to inns with the price steadily escalating the further they get from the origin town?

Well, I'm investing my stat point in vit and my skill point in Synthesis Tailoring.

Presumably some time before the mission, I'm going to buy a potion.

My stat point goes into Intelligence, and my skill point into Acrobatics. Working towards epic level jumping skills.
