So I was watching Silence in the Library with my younger brother, and it occurs to me that River Song is going to meet Jack Harkness probably. Reason I think so is she has his sonic blaster that he used in The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances.

I guess it makes sense, since Jack first showed up in a Moffat episode, but the immortality thing didn't sound like a Moffat thing to me, so I didn't think he'd keep him in Moffat Who.

I think it's more likely that Jacks blaster was left inside the TARDIS during Parting of the Ways, seeing as Jack didn't have it on him during the Dalek attack and hasn't used it since. Most likely River gets it from the Doctor at some point.
