Irene's...conflicted. She's not evil, but she can recognize the need for someone villainous like Impact to save the world because right now, an evil asshole like Impact is actually what this world is going to need, and it pains Irene to no end.

Irene believes what Eldys believes. She's smart enough to follow Point A all the way to Point Z without even needing to know about what the other points are. She doesn't like it one fuckin' bit, but she can't see another way out.

And now Irene hates herself. She hates what she has to do. She hates that she's condemning the people who trust her the most to death. She hates that she's condemning the world to possible ruination under someone she could never trust but is forced to regardless.

Irene will never say it. Yet, deep down in her soul, she's screaming for death, because she believes that no one would ever tell her that she's doing the right thing. She's an emotional wreck. She's so lonely, especially without her husband. It's all she can do not to plunge her swords through her own chest. And forcing her own daughter into it? Irene's gotta be feeling lower than a snake's belly.

That is obvious almost as much in-character as it is out-of-character, and if you need verification, Menarker and Dracorian have pointed it out, time and time again, in any number of discussion and theatre threads.

Seriously, if you really need someone to manipulate you into evil, which is something I don't think anybody cares about but you, let the trio of Irene, Eldys and Sakuya do it. They're sexier and smarter than Phantomere could ever be.

Besides, Phantomere is pretty much lost on being evil. Charlotte's going to make him her bitch, and the twisted little spectral cherub is probably going to end up enjoying it.

I was afraid of that. Can't do anything to change your mind, obviously. I am calling bullshit, though. If you don't actually want me to put effort into writing, sure. Don't reward me for it. But don't expect me to keep doing so, setting up stuff like this.

Also, you're the DM. Fair enough. But stop telling me what my character is and isn't. I haven't declared him evil unilaterally, and if I do it'll be a temporary thing at most. If you wanna argue about my character's morality with me, let's do that here and now. But in absence of actually making any arguments, I'd strongly advise that you let me define my own character, and, like I said, stop telling me what he can and can't be.

And seriously, mocking me because I want my character to develop believably and not be a 2-dimensional cartoon villain? Pointedly not assisting me in that for no good reason other than "Your character is evil already, regardless of what you say"? That's not just below the motherfucking belt for a DM to do, it's below the soles of my shoes and goes two miles underground to hit the shit that's working in the mineshaft there and still not comprehending the realities of flight.

Y'know what, fuck this. My flight back to Germany leaves tomorrow evening, I'll get internet by the 25th at the latest, I hope. I'll log in again when I'm fully settled, but until that's the case I can find other ways to entertain myself. I need to think this over again, need to get away from this. This might screw up some plans, but, like I said, fuck this. There's more to life.

Irene strikes me less as a suicidal person and more of a Death Seeker. Someone who wants their death to have a meaning or fulfilling a sort of accomplishment. Like a dying will. Basically, she'll willingly fight her hardest, but if the situation goes bleak, she won't retreat and she'll fight to the last breath to do as much damage as possible.

And AB, I stopped saying that Gem was being evil long ago. The closest I said to that was being a Lex Luthor, which really means he's more of an Unfettered in TVtropes terms than anything to do with morality on the good/evil scale. Yes, he's willing to be closer to darkness than many of the NPCs and PCs, but Gem is trying to make him not like the card carrying evil guys we joke about.

I would like to point out that AB is more than capable of determining what your character is and isn't based on what you've written and what you plan to write about him.

What you want Impact to be, what you plan for him to become? That's something else entirely.

Menarker, if you're saying Lex Luthor isn't evil, I'll have to slap you. He may not believe himself to be evil, but he certainly is.

Anyway, Bard, I'm suprised Charlotte isn't angry at the fact that her most important kill just nullified itself. Especially on the same day that her second most important kill came back from the dead.

I know Lex Luthor is evil! But was just saying that Impact isn't going into outright evil territory like deliberately messing with magical artifiacts for power or killing puppies. He is the Unfettered which would in turn have a huge chance of bringing him into evil if he ever strays too far one way or another (which we are assured will happen eventually. And even then, not in the homocidal manic or excessive villiany kind of way.)
