Every time I hear John Dimaggio I ALWAYS, ALWAYS think "jesus christ that sounds like BM." Plus, he looks the part:

Like... with Jetpacks?

Been away for a while, but had to post when I saw this.
Black Mage: Definitely Jack Black. I don't think there was anyone else who could play him better. Fighter: 2 words... Will Farrel. He could pull off the master of sword-chuckery with no problem whatsoever! I don't know why anyone didn't think of him in the first place! Thief: I definitely think Johnny Depp here. He could pull off this role without a hitch. Red Mage: This one is tough, because he has to seem imtelligent and cunning, yet horribly bad at planning and completely obsessed with himself and his own advancement. I think going with someone too dramatic(ala the guy who played Lucious Malfoy) would be a bad idea. Maybe.. Chris Katan? I think he could do it no problem. [whomever said Christopher Walken for this part must not be thinking right. CW is a best at playing villains.] Edit: Maybe better than Chris Katan... Owen Wilson. In fact I think he'd be perfect. White Mage: Famke Janssen. Played Jean Gray in X-Men. I think she could pull off the right combination for WM with no problem. The intelligent, beautiful and intolerant of BM's advances. I could definitely see her wielding a huge hammer and beating the crap out of BM. Black Belt: While Jackie Chan would be great from a Martial Arts perspective, he's hard to understand and BB from the comics seems very well spoken and understood. So we need someone who is well spoken but a point of comic relief as well. Now, you can kill me for saying this... but I think Matt Damon could pull it off. He's got the Martial Arts training(Bourne Identity) and we've seen his comic side(Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back) and he's a pretty good actor. EPS: Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. I know I'm pulling on X-Men people here... but this is the last one. She's perfect for the part. Mystique was a great role for her and in X-2 the as the woman seducing Mr. Laurio would be great for the "good" side of EPS. Garland: Most definitely Bruce Campbell. I could think of anyone better to play the part. Drizzl' : Orlando Bloom could pull this one off without a hitch. Bikke : Geoffrey Rush would make an excellent Bikke, I think. Akbar: The same person who said Mike Meyers for Bikke suggested Steve Buscemi and I totally agree with this one. Vilbert von Vampire: Again I am in agreement with Marylin Manson on this one. I think he'd shine in this role. King Steve: Hmmm... that's a tough one. Brando would have been good, if he hadn't passed away... Well, these are my suggestions so far. If I think of anything else, I'll post them! |

Brian Blessed for King Steve because he's already shown his great talent as a king in Blackadder (The first series).
"Fresh Horses!" A catch phased used in pretty much of all of the episodes in Blackadder Also Johnny Depp should be Theif, because I think he would act well as him. "Murder needs no goblins to be explained" Sleepy Hollow Keanu (Sp?) should probally be fighter. He played the good guy in Dracula (It came out some time in 2000 i think) and he did manage to show worry on his nearly-andorid face so he could porablly be emossional. AND don't forget Bill and Teds (bogus) adventure, where he played ted. He can do more roles other than he did in the matrix. And the only quote I can remember for Keanu is "It ends tonight"...

I have to agree that Will Farrel should play Fighter. Keanu is completely monotonous, as was said before. I personally think that he sucked in Dracula. He was a good Ted in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure" as well as "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey", but I can't really say anything good about any Matrix after the first one (which was only slightly better than mediocre). And he really wouldn't make a good Fighter. The complete and utter lack of knowledge is all that he has in common with him.

The only other person I could think of that would be great as Fighter :fighter: . The guy who played The Tick in the live action series that was on Fox. Patrick Warburton I think his name is. Regardless, he and WIll Farrell would have to fight for that role. They'd both be good.

Black Belt should be played by Jackie Chan. End of story.
And Thief should be Johnny Depp. Only he can be so smooth.

Bruce would be a good Garland.
Maybe Keanu as the "Welcome to Corneria" guard, cos' he's emotionless and whatnot.

Garland
====== I think it's important to consider that Garland is never threatening or mean. As a result, casting someone who is never threatening or mean and is also likeable would work well. You might want to consider casting someone who was hungry for the role. I see Garland as being 40ish and not all that physically imposing. In my film Garland goes too... Michael Keaton!!! Evil Princess Sara ============= She's hot, sexy, smart and bi-polar as Hell. Is EPS really a wolf in sheep's clothing or is she certifiable, waxing between nice and uber-naughty? Eager to escape from the American Pie stigmata and hungry for a role my EPS is... Mena Suvari!!! King Steve ======== Refined, cultured, and mad as a hatter King Steve is both disturbing and soothing at the same time. I see him as being not too terribly old and rather grandiose in the delivery of his deranged ramblings. Who plays nuts better than... Christopher Walken!!! Black Belt ======= He's dumb and he knows karate, well, SOME karate. He knows enough to kick and yell and punch at the air and call quite a bit of attention to himself, which probably makes him the ideal body guard. He's not all that physically impressive but he IS in shape. Due to the physical comedy required to pull off his huge martial arts buffoonery and the need to present the character as an empty headed simpleton who better to play the role of Black Belt than... Ben Stiller!!! White Mage ========= She's smart. She's hot. She'll hit you with a freaking hammer. She's concerned for the overall well being of mankind and she'll make the world a better place by whacking over the head a few times with her hammer. She's no nonsense and all about the quest, but cute and charming while doing so. The role of yummy White Mage goes to the VERY yummy... Sarah Michelle Goeller!!! Thief ==== Shrewd to a fault, cowardly, deceitful, and a master of contract law. Thief is just as at ease filching an oblivious merchant's purse as he is settling a case in arbitration. I see Thief as 40ish, metrosexual, and definitely somone you do not like. The role of Thief goes to... Simon Cowell!!! Red Mage ======= It's difficult to get a handle on exactly what Red Mage is. I suppose that's part of the character's charm, or lack of it. Is Red Mage the sniveling rules lawyer who "adjusts" his character sheet and fudges dice rolls everytime the DM isn't looking? Or, is he clever and resourceful? The answer is a combination of the two; he's a whiny cheater who THINKS that he's clever and resourceful. Again, this isn't a character you're supposed to like and as a result should be played by an actor that most people don't like. The highly coveted role of Red Mage goes to... Ben Affleck!!! Fighter ===== Ah, dear, dependable Fighter. The only thing bigger than his sword is his capacity to trust completely in his worthless friends. He's a fool with a big heart and only slightly more intelligent than tree bark. Upbeat, charismatic, attractive, and fit I see the actor portraying Fighter needing to be able to exude blind trust and genuine affection for his fellows. Due to the empty headed, pretty boy nature of the role it goes to... Owen Wilson!!! Black Mage ======== Selfish to the core with no redeeming qualities, slightly mad, and hating the world at every opportunity Black Mage is hook that brings the loyal fan base back again and again and again. Perhaps the readers see a bit of themselves in his dark thoughts and inner turmoil, identifying with him as he lashes out at a cosmetic world he's not socially acceptable enough to successfully exist in. Rejected again and again by the "in crowd", Black Mage simmers with rage and longs to bring the world to its knees before him. If he can't be happy, then no one will and the world will burn with his own pain. Black Mage merely hates, but he needs to have a distinctive, higher timber voice to go along with all of that hate and bring his rage to life beneath the shadowy hat and enveloping robes. And for those reasons, the role goes to two actors. One to be photographed and filmed and the other to dub the voice. The spindly frame, stooped shoulders, awkwardness, and seething rage go to... Crispin Glover!!! And the voice of all evil, maniacal voices... You know him! You loved him as Cobra Commander! He's... Chris Latta!!!

I just thought I'd share since I'm sure that I'm not the only G. I. Joe/Transformers fan around here. I can't believe the man's been dead for 10 years and this is the first I've heard about it.
