You guys gotta think in metaphors. Gotham is crumbling much like Batman. But then he like rises and overcomes adversity and Bane. Or something.

Also there will be a one and a half minute teaser trailer for this movie attached to Harry Potter this weekend.

Yeah, and it's severely underwhelming.

I mean, come on marketing people. I get that maybe three minutes of actual new footage is available and it might be hard to make something coherent for people to latch on to, but that's when it's the perfect time to just have a Gary Oldman voiceover while doing a split screen of Anne Hathaway in her Catwoman spandex on one side and Tom Hardy shirtless on the other.

It's not that hard.

Nolan is probably too high-class for random clip mash-ups in his teasers (presuming he is the one who designs these things, of course).

Bane looked kind of silly in this, hopefully only because it is raw, unedited footage...

the main problem with Venom being a gas is that makes it really easy for others to be exposed to it which Bane would want to avoid. Just rupture the hose or even grab the mask and just huff it yourself. Venom being a liquid pumped into the base of your skull is something most would be hesitant to even try.

On his ethnicity, well he speaks spanish and wears a lucha libre mask, but wasn't he South American? Meaning he was abit contradictory to begin with.

Only if he was from Brazil...and if they don't have lucha libre wrestling outside of Mexico (quite possible).

But as far as I can tell he was from a fictional island dictatorship located somewhere Latinish, not a real country.

Yes, that's why I was saying it would be contradictory. Brazil is the only South American country that speaks Portuguese (I think). Also if they don't have Luchadors outside Mexico he'd be pretty contradictory.

But I doubt he'll actually be from Santa Prisca or whatever, he'll probably just be a Latino guy trying to take over the Gotham underworld.

Well if I remember Bane is in his first fight with Batman he simply wanted to defeat him. The prospect much like that of a born and raised prison inmate where the Bat is the man who truly controlled the city, beat him and he would have no issue making the rest submit. It was what garnered him his early success. Not sure if he'll take the same route, but it ties well with the current martyred image of Batman as a semi-villain after the Two-Face scenario. That Gothom lives on their fear of the Batman.

I would like him to remain latino if only so I won't cringe when I see him in the movie, but I always remembered the luchador thing just being a corrrelation rather than a neccesity. Wouldn't matter what hispanic country he is from, if he is big and wears a mask and is latino it screams luchador. The backbreakers don't help much
