I've pretty much lost all my faith in getting serious discussions out of any thread any more. Any serious discussion usually gets derailed rather quickly by either talks of penis size or cat memes.

I don't know. I think it's just that we've been making more non-serious nonsensical threads as of late. There are still serious threads with serious convos going on.

Yeah, the first post seemed meaningless, so I responded in kind with a one-off fluff post.

Edit: Not meaningless as in: "Nothing important", but more in the way of, "I didn't get any significant meaning, or see a place for discussion. Sexism is bad, we know that, and it had a random Snake quote for some reason?"

Re-reading, I admit it was more an invitation to discuss the incident atwixt Aris Longlastname and his player, link again.

In terms of the video, though, which sparked the thread, I was interested how sexism affected members of NPF. I didn't expect there to be a whole lot of wild storiesm but just a few that we could look at. We could also talk about the relationship atwixt the online.. thing... and sexism. The meme culture and its adherent towards women and the kitchens that they should habit.

I don't think that the collective online males believe that women should be objectified. I do believe in the Fuckwad Theory, but I believe that individually these people are either good people or aren't assertive or are either loathsome individuals enough that they render themselves unable to date, let alone confine a woman.

In terms of the video incident, shitty dude is shitty dude.
