Listen, I tried to watch some documentaries about classic video games. It was bad times. That Pac-Man champion guy is a douche.

I... I need this.
I want to see this movie. I'm so worried that my sudden hype from what amounts to a little more than "hey, flashy game characters" trailer is going to crash so hard. But I must. See. This. Movie.
EDIT: reference Pastiches or whatever, DK isn't there likely because he's now a bona-fide actual honest-to-goodness hero with his own villains and stuff, and Mario isn't there because, you know, he's not a villain (although one could make the case that when he was still Jumpman he was kind of villainous and paying for his ways by having to jump barrels to rescue his girlfriend Pauline). Also, where can I watch me some of those documentaries. I want to see them.

Obviously, if we live in a world where The Princess and the Frog can't even bring in as much revenue in theaters as Bolt, the studio is going to follow the money. No one's trying to "justify being grumpy" here, but thanks for being so super cool about it.

I just thought King of Kong was the one everyone had seen, due to it actually being quite well produced and near-universally lauded.

They're there to be played, not to watch or memorize pointless minutia about.
Why the shit would anyone watch a documentary on anything, least of all video games?

Because David Attenborough. And how else are we supposed to find out that aliens built the Eiffel Tower?

Like when you say it is a documentary on video games, I'd say it is more of a character study or at the least a documentary on a particular facet of them, focusing more on the people who do it than the things themselves.

While you watched some guy destroy his life playing Donkey Kong, I was gaming.
So because you're bored with nothing better to do than stare at the wall and doing something even more boring and pointless sounds like a good idea?
