I slept in. Screw them and their axons. They can take their alternate reality game and shove it.

What was the story with these two? And can someone tell me what the solution to the second screen of "thisisnotporn" is? (red binary background, red text, something about Asia as the title). For that matter, what were you supposed to do on the second screen of "ilovebees"? (the weird picture, with green text of questions for certain people).
All right, I admit, I only tried for a short while. On the other hand, since ilovebees seems to be over (based on the postings here), and since they reference some very obscure things (again, based on the postings here), I don't feel too guilty about this. Any references to said obscure things would be appreciated.

thisisnotporn is an ongoing thing, so you can keep trying at that.
the key is looking into the source and pasting all the data into notepad and coming up with an answer. you have to think out of the box.

News on the bee stuff: I've just checked out and it looks that all the axon locations were actually public payphones, and each one rang at the time that was posted along with the coordinates! People who picked them heard a recording, or talked to one of the AIs, arguably Melissa, I'm not sure. Apparently Melissa is trying to find her crashed ship's personel scattered trough the coutry. The page has changed considerably now. And in the Links section, there is now a list of all the axons that were "connected" or not and a lot of sound files of conversations and speech of some kind.
Also, there is a fake error page that post some answers to forum users (I think it's the Unfiction forums). Kefka, if you really made it to one of these phones, please let us now.

You -got- my postcard?!

I'll be heading to the one in Raleigh at 4:23 today, because it's extremely close by and in the general area of where I was planning to be anyway. I'll let you know if I get the phone call. ;-)

I did make it! Just got home a while ago. Was a four-hour drive. There were about six other people there, but the phone message gave an option to have it repeat, so we were all able to hear the message! I'll post more on it later as I'm EXTREMELY TIRED right now. I'm sure those Unfiction forums you mentioned have plenty of info for now.

I made it, as well, but luckily it was only a fifteen minute drive. It was at the North Carolina Museum of Natural History, tucked away near the bathrooms. It hadn't really occurred to me to look for the phone in a building until about three minutes before the phone call came. Fortunately, I made it.
To be perfectly honest, it really wasn't all that interesting. Though, it had that air of 'cloak and dagger' to it that made you feel like a CIA operative. Last edited by Croteam6; 08-24-2004 at 04:51 PM. |

Croteam: Unless you've been really following the story up to this point and are genuinely interested in the story, it's doubtful you'd find it too interesting.
So each of the messages are appearing ont he site one by one here: http://www.ilovebees.com/links.html . Most of them are up now. The message I got at mine was "yes_or_no".

I ended up standing next to the restrooms with some guy and his mom. And then I just went home. So much for a social experience. ;-) No, the actual storyline and execution of the 'game' is quite clever. I think it's a very cool marketing strategy. (Sorry for my ambiguous statement in that other post; I realize now it made me sound like a jackass.) Last edited by Croteam6; 08-24-2004 at 10:53 PM. |

By the way, the blog's been updated. I think we can take what's on there as "official" information now.
