How about Jareth, the Goblin King from Labyrinth versus Dr. Frank N. Furter of The Rocky Horror Picture Show?

Jareth. He would maybe be a little disturbed by Furter, but he has the magic to more than make up for it...
That and the area of the labyrinth with all the hands? Yeah..Furter would just stay there forever...

This is probably going to end up a bit biased, but I'll post it anyways:
Black Mage (not Hell Mage) VS Belkar from The Order of the Stick Belkar is the physical fighter of the two, so the only way I see him winning the match is by getting a surprise attack quick enough to get rid of BM, who, as we know, is scrawny and rather weak, apart from smelling really bad. helloooo!

Well, Belkar doesn't have anything that would protect him from death-by-hadoken, so I'm gonna go with BM on this one.

BM seems to miss with his hadoken fairly regularly, though. And Belkar is quite the sexy shoeless god of war.

I am inherently required to say "Belkar" in this topic.
But! Let's break down, shall we? Black Mage, if he actually manages to land with his Hadoken, will probably end up killing Belkar. He's only got a D6 for his hit dice, and his reflex saves aren't too good. But Black Mage misses alot. So, if the hadoken misses, it's up to the stabbing to decide who is better. In which case, Belkar dual-wields, has shown to kill multiple caster-classes with little hesitation and in a very short amount of time. He is second only to Roy in battle, and Roy is a flaming badass of greatswording. So as far as stabbing goes, BM doesn't have a chance.

I will crush your economy.

But Black Mage was able to solo a giant octopus! Surely that speaks of his battle abilities!
