Where the hell does it say she doesn't want him to use it? She doesn't even know WV! Except for the few times John saw him, she wouldn't have been able to see him.

And WV's dream is hardly defining evidence.

It's not like it matters what Vriska says to WV or tries to get him to do or anything like that because, as stated before,

But for serious, I had some theories as to why WV can see Vriska even though I doubt they ever have/will meet, but they all kind of fell apart as I was writing them. So I'll just wait for the next update(s) and see what the heck happens.

don't think you understand what I'm trying to say.
My point was that it doesn't have to be the case that Vriska manipulated WV.
And that if it WAS the case, then it's weird because of all the stuff I said.

Also I've been working under the assumption that WV gets exiled after the Rift meaning that Vriska can meet him in person and also not know anything about predestination stuff. And if Vriska can meet him in person then couldn't she just take the ring from him by force?

Vriska isn't exactly a brief jaunt away. John could be, but A: John in the present time already has the ring. And B: WV can't exactly time-travel to give the ring to John now that he has the ring.

And if WV was exiled after the Rift... actually, there's a lot of things that make that extremely implausible. First of all, if he's in the same universe as Vriska (I.E. the Alternian one, which is the only way he could physically meet her), why is he wandering a planetwide desert instead of living in the city that Spades Slick made? Also: why would there be Skaianet stations made for the kids' cruxite artifacts if he was in the Alternian universe?

He doesn't have it "years in the future (but not many)", but he does have it in present time. Jack tried to steal it from him, but he managed to keep it when the �berbunny checked Jack.

You said that Wayward Vagabond got exiled after the rift, which means that Vriska could meet him in person. Either that means that Wayward Vagabond goes to the Alternian universe (demonstratably wrong) or Vriska goes to the Earthling universe (why, when her target is in the Alternian universe?).

So, in summary, Vriska can't have WV give it to John (John isn't around when he has the ring, and when he is around, WV doesn't have it.) or to herself (in different universes).

Yeah but then he tried to fly across a canyon to reunite with his Dad and Rose's Mom and then woke up, thus his dreamself disappeared and the ring fell and WV found it in the river. This happened shortly after Jack tried to steal it.
