In that study, though, I bet they'd have found different results if they had all participants play BOTH games. People tend to be much better at comparing things than using generic scales for "enjoyment."

I never realized just how much of a cheap tabloid Kotaku is until I read

Kotaku's okay when it comes to stuff like the leaked Star Wars: Battlefront 3 footage and Darth Kenobi images, but they're nothing but when it comes to 'breaking news'.

I like the information I get from Kotaku itself, the articles... Not so much.

It's good for news and bits... i read it because, quite frankly, the site is lighter than IGN (now that 1up is gone) i just get somewhat "amused" when i hear of shit like that because it has that feeling of "new trend" you know? That misguiding feeling that this is a brand new fact... when in reality, people are just giving more attention to assholes that own console games...

I think that one's safe, Bellsouth, since it made me laugh.
In return, one of my precious cat pictures. Be grateful.

It could be addiction. Violence only enters into the situation when they're being deprived of the games.

Actually, that also could be misleading.... at least the way i see it, they get violent when they are told to stop what they are doing and do something else. Like "It's dinner (family time) so stop playing and come eat".
It's more the "doing something i dont want to do" than "Mah Vidjamages!!" ... because, c'mon... those kids are usually Grade A assholes... I really dont buy into all that "Game Addiction" thing... people can get addicted to -anything-, from Tv to Sex... there isnt that big of a crowd of people who are tully, actually, "addicted" to play video games... at least it's not as big as some media outleds (including gaming blogs) seems to show. |

Dude's 19.
He was just being an immature jerk. Again, this is just some silly story that Kotaku blew out of proportion to draw hits. The tabloid effect.
