Jack is currently being held frozen in time by Aradia (who would currently have no reason to suspect his attack) and has a strict honor code when it comes to people doing something he appreciates and holding up his own end of the bargain.

I assumed that it was an inexorable time lock independent of Aradia's continued existence or effort.

If not, then I suppose it would give something that Eridan could make himself useful with to buddy up with Jack. It's the only thing I can imagine, actually.
