I miss Bob Ross. :(
HAY, CJ.
Your paintings are digitally done, right? How are you doing them, and such? Also, you should totally pick up where Bob Ross left off, and make a Joy of Painting series to show us.

I'm still trying at this art thing. Most of you probably recognize this guy. I also have a version without filters tucked away. |

Yes they are all done in photoshop. I basically made a custom brush that kind of looks like a rough brush, and go from there. If you're talking about the actual process, for the fancy Ezio one I basically had an idea for what I wanted it to look like, then I blocked in Ezio's silhouette with a dark color, and painted a rough background around him, figuring out the composition, before going back in and adding details/making him more than just a blob. Is that a good explanation? I can go into detail about any of the parts if you want. Also, did another art in that kind of process. It's not Assassin's Creed no matter what it looks like.

Hopefully this works.
Okay!
I have CS5 so I have absolutely no idea if it will work on older versions if you have older than CS. Also, a lot of the options on it are pressure sensitive so if you don't have a pressure sensitive tablet it will probably look different/need changes. Fake edit: I just tested it in CS so it's backwards compatible that far, I guess. Hopefully it's helpful!

Wall of text! WALL OF TEXT!!
CJ - Your digital paintings are awesome. So awesome I can't come up with a better response other then that they are just so awesome!
Been practicing some more with my tablet and stylus (I got replacement nips!! ). This time I'm trying to draw Avaleese in a way that isn't just plain awkward. Also doubles as this neat idea for an autumn CG I got while shopping at Acme. Currently a work in progress. Everything but the face, everything turned out fine except for the face. -_- Because of the way her eyes are made, it's hard for me to get her face just right. I had a similar problem with one of my other characters (Annabel) uncleaned line work, sorry back when I was shifting from Sonic style to my current style that I use today. Took me a few years to get her face right. -_-; This is one of the reason I'm delaying my Avalice Assassin webcomic (which will become a profit indy comic once it gains popularity and I get an assistant who can do Backgrounds... or a girlfriend who awesome at art and/or writing) till 2012/2013. that and because my designs for BGs are very weak outside of nature backgrounds. Also... Alister-cade's request is nearly finished. I just need to render it and create a BG for it. almost done Once that's done I coin flip on rather or not to do a Super Challenge pic or my latest request I got from FA to draw 90s Secret Squirrel, in a tux, getting hit by pies.

In other news, I still have no idea how to use watercolors. It's a gift for a friend who really likes those two. Here's the starting sketch because I think it looks nicer.

I was trying to do a pony in as close to MLP:FIM style as possible, since I love drawing in vectors anyway, and I was curious if I could simplify the paths I did for the other pony that I drew, and make it animatable.
Pretty simplified derpy. Paths-wise, I mean. From your end, nope. image And the fun part is it's pretty easily animatable, since I set it up nicely. The unfun part is that Inkscape doesn't support animations and I don't have flash, so I have to export a bajillion .PNGs and stitch them together if I want an animation. Edit: What's that white rectangle? Beats me. I think that I had something to the side of Derpy that got picked up by the exporter.
