Yes. Did you know Space Marines can both spit acid and hibernate for a thousand years?

Well, some can't - not all of the Chapters have the full set of adaption thingies. That's two of the nineteen or so specific thingies they get added.

Also, ever noticed how often they're pictured standing on top of corpse mountains? How do you think those mountains got there, huh?

Okay, I'll admit they have some trouble against horrifying alien monstrosities that push tanks over for fun. It generally takes a character with at least a name to take down one of those single handedly.

As for Sonic vs Mario, are we talking brawl as in Smash Brothers style, or are we talking about an ordinary old fight between unpowered up no items available characters?

Sonic. Mario can't do anything to Sonic beyond avoidance without a powerup. Sonic, on the other hand, can move and attack AND JUMP at the same time, giving him a massive tactical advantage even without rings or power ups.

I'd have to go with sonic in this instance too. Mario has never really had to fight something rediculously speedy before. He usually has to put up with Bowser, and he's never been one for speed.

You can't have Mario without powerups though. Sonic's powerups are temporary mostly, and thus I don't think they really count. Mario should at least be given the benefit of the doubt and say he has a fireflower to start with, at the very least.

Then, it becomes a little different, as Sonic has something deadly to dodge.
