I don't want to come across like I could do any better but

his body is a tube!

The face looks sorta human, though, so that's ok.

Not a bad 3D model. I don't have a lot of experience with Maya or the like, but his limbs look out of proportion to the trunk... he could reach into cargo pockets while standing erect. Or maybe the gloves are too wide. I'm having difficulty placing it. Then again, there's nothing wrong with that. What are you going for? Stylized, caricature, or realistic?

My husband made a video of the making of his comic. My contribution to the project is that I do a lot of the coloring and shadowing of the backgrounds. I think it's fun to see how fast he works, and judge his usage of photoshop. I think he's a little cavalier with the number of layers he uses. However he organizes it in that bee's hive of a mind I'll never know. I stick with Mac OS's Seashore or Linux's Kolourpaint as my scratchpad since I don't think Windows has a good program for sprite work.

One of a series of practice exercise I'm doing, this one being rather simple. Mainly focusing on hands right now since it's one of the things I'm struggling with. basic anatomy will come afterwards. Will post more once I return in feburary/march.

That hand looks really good!
Hands have always given me fits. Something about them makes my brain stop wanting to draw. The only thing that really jumps out at me is the lack of knuckles where the fingers meet the palm.

So I uh, decided to post one of those art evolution things.

Except I draw sprites.

And I kind of stopped getting better a while ago I think.

The "+" in each year means there's more notable work for that year that wasn't thrown there.

KIND OF BIG IMAGE

I've lost a single drawing from 2005, but it was pretty bad.

2006 is when i started out for reals. Made a bunch of keyblades and other KH-related things.

2007 I started branching out a bit, but didn't do much. Did a whole bunch of Bleach weapons, only one's in there, though.

2008 I started doing some insignias for a RPG system I've been wanting to make. Also, the curved sword from there? An attempt at a new spin on the similar one from 2006.

2009 I did a fuckton of things. I could fill an image as big as that one just with 2009. Blues and his "I'm making a game, you want to do sprites for me? here, do those 120." and I stopped at around 40 or so. Was good practice, though.

2010 I made some of my favourites, but I didn't actually make a whole lot.

2011 keeps the trend.

2012 has even less.

So will 2013 change things? We'll see.

Neat, I'm interested and seeing how much you'll improve over the course of 2013.
