Edit: What's the 00.0001% that you like, Nightlight? Just to satisfy my curiosity. Doesn't seem like ten-thousand games have been released for either platform.

Archer and Armstrong vs. the World

I thought the XBOX360 had (moderate) backwards compatibility.
Wii was backwards compatible, DS was backwards compatible except for the latest incarnation, the DSi, which most people I don't think went out of their way to buy. I consider it more a specialty model, I think most people are interested in the DS Lite. Pretty sure the DS2 will be able to lay DS1 games. By the way, DS2, huh. So it's going to still have two screens? Zany!

the 360 does it through software/emulation. It works well enough, but it's nothing like hardware compatibility. And the Wii does it, because the Wii is a Gamecube with a different shell.
I have like one GBA game and yet I won't be getting a DSi ever due to it not having support for those games. It seems a little silly to worry about it when we didn't used to have it, either. And then Sony made everyone love it thanks to popping an older console's processor into a newer one for maths, and we can't get enough of it anymore. faux e: I guess PCs always had it, though.

Well. Good thing they made the DSi.
I'm looking forward to a DS2, but I'm hoping eventually developers realize that motion/stylus/voice control and button control don't have to replace each other.

The DS works best when you're using only one control scheme at a time, mic excluded, since you'll likely be shouting profanity at it anyway if you're stuck trying to juggle both the stylus and the buttons.

TWEWY by no means proves me wrong because they doubled the D-pad up with the face buttons, thus freeing up a hand of your choice for the stylus. And you don't even NEED to push the buttons, because short of the AI specifically not using the Jesus Beams, your partner is pretty effective on its own.

My point explained; I hate when DS and Wii games that have no place in being involved with waggling, constantly getting involved in waggling.
Basically I <3 the Gamecube controller.
