I've never actually asked a girl out. We meet, we hit it off, and we just kind of 'fall into' the dating pattern. Pick up lines are jokes for me.

And as odd as that sounds, that even works for ugly guys like me. *points at display picture*

At least get to know the girl a little bit before asking her out. Like, at least her name, whereabout she lives, and some of her interests. So its less likely to be a disaster of a date, for one reason or another. Aside from that, act confident and be direct.

This doesn't specifically mean charming or romantic, just memorable. If a girl goes out with ten guys, then the one she is going to remember is the one that did not go *insert request for date* *commence date at generic fancy resteraunt or movie theater*.

Heck, best date I ever ended up taking a girl on was when me and a friend of mine doubled, promising the girls a dinner at a local resteraunt followed by a movie. What we actually did is blindfold them in the car so they couldn't see where we were going, sit them down at the kitchen table of my own home, and bring out some home made Korean dish. (We did take the blindfolds off after sitting them down) After that we watched the Princess Bride, because it is both a cult classic and also the only non-chick-flick love movie ever. The dinner took all day to make right, but overall the entire thing was pulled of perfectly.

So remember
Creativity>Cost in monies
Well, the date itself is a different story, though there's a reason for the old standby: you don't want it to be memorable for the wrong reason. I can only assume these were girls you knew well... I mean, if some guy tried to blindfold me in his car, it'd bring to mind all sorts of possibilities, none of which would create a good night for me.

But of course, if the blindfold was removed and there was a delicious Korean dish in front of you - one with no roofies whatsoever - then you would feel much better, right?

On with the zany plans. Which were originally the purpose of this thread. Not "Oh, I just asked her out and we've been together ever since," or "I wait for girls to ask ME," or whatever.

I'm talking, "Hey, let's go for a ride on my private yacht! Oh wait, is that a shark? Brb, must wrestle it! *pyrotechnics* Oh, it wasn't a shark, it was a robot. My bad."

Strut out in a loincloth, beat your chest with your hand, and explain in as few words as possible that you are, in fact, Tarzan, and she just might be Jane.

See where it goes.

That's an idea that I can only see improved by a gameshow-style setting.

This is my plan:

*pops bubble-wrap*
*gets stared at by an attractive girl*
*offers bubble-wrap* Wanna try it?
