yeah, as a dark elf, i cant imagine that i would be welcomed anywhere publicly, and i dont think disguise self can apply to race. Should i do something regarding that?

Of course, it may be more fun to play it as realistically as possible, since racial issues could contribute greatly to the need for Mad Plans.
I mean racial issues in game of course :-\ I hate that I have to clarify that, but I feel I must.

EDIT: I think we should come up with a way for throwing objects, like a dart, or chair leg, or silverware, or whatever someone would want to throw. Should be a d20 roll for amount of distance towards target spot an object is thrown, and d% to determine how close to the target the object hits (like 0-5% within target % hits target spot, 6-15% is so far away, 16-30% is farther away etc.). If someone is trying to have the object point a certain direction (i.e. a throwing dagger) then a d6 or another d20 should be rolled to determine its direction/spin. Strength affects distance thrown, while dexterity affects accuracy and direction/spin. Last edited by Ogianres; 11-23-2006 at 02:13 PM. |

Yes, there certainly will be racial issues in this game. Is your Drow evil or not, anyway? I'm under the impression of yes. You can disguise yourself as a different race, it's just harder to do convincingly.
I thought there was already a throwing rule like that? If your throw is way off, it's a d8 to determine the miss direction from the intended target. Some Racial attitudes, because I can: Drow are for the most part, evil. There are some non-evil Drow. Elves occasionally take Drow captives from their numerous skirmishes. Some of them are successfully converted to Elven ways. (After growing up in a violent, chaotic hierarchy of backstabbing and power lust, one of equality where your friends actually look out for you is tempting.) Nevertheless, Drow usually incite fear and the city watch. On first impression Elves tend to see humans as childish, whether they're trying to or not. It's due to the differences in lifespan. An elf's first impression of someone is likely to be over a longer time period than one day. Elves and Orcs haven't been at war for a long time now, but the two still have their old grudges. Humans we pretty much know. If a human is racist, it could be toward any number of races (and for some really stupid reasons). They're a tad jealous of the Dwarves controlling more than half the world's mining industry, and all the taxes on shipments of jewelry, weapons, and other metalworkings. Kobolds don't know what the hell to think of humans, since they're so unpredictable this way. They hate Gnomes for sure though. Halflings unfortunately get smacked with the whole thief gypsy stereotype. They do tend to be nomadic traders, and they are crafty at what they do, but seriously. This doesn't make them all pickpockets.

no, my characters definitly evil, he does kill people and take their moneys for a living. He tries to stay out of sight most of the time, and if he does attract attention by the city watch, he is a lawful citizen as far as they know, and has a clean record.
Is there any conflict between elves and dwarves? or is that just 8-bit?

Name: Azza - chaotic good.
Race: human Class: hm....hunter/ranger Age: early twenties Hair: light brown, with licks of gold Eyes: brown Clothes: I wears me my regular dresses and boots in town. Sometimes even leather trousers, but usually that is for my outdoor home. Other equipment: Very sharp dagger, longbow and arrow, can use fish hook and line. Special: HA. I am a ranger, nothing more or less. I can kill, skin, and cook my things (you don't HAVE to pray before you eat my food, but always welcome). Curing and preserving skins/hides (decently, as I sell them this way) and have navigation and tracking (non human tracking, or with penalty). Able to pick out most plants, trees. Rough understanding of human to human relations. Illiterate. You can write things out for me, to which I will either nod and smile, or spit on you. Depending on my mood, and whether you have just said something bad about my food. INT: 13 DEX: 16 STR: 11 AGI: 18 CHA: 10 VIT: 11

Okay, I can't seem to change the thread title. AnotherOne will be the last adition for now.
This RPG is not accepting any new players at this time. I will post when we are open again.

Stealing AB's schtick.

Also, how exactly would people react to fairly one of a kind creatures (i.e. a cat person made using twisted magicks?)
