If you look at his first appearance, he had a tan, much like Thief and some other characters (mostly Elves), so he could have been originally intended to be Elven.

EDIT: Is it possible that Thief is always the guy Rogue mentions? See his similar position here (although he is probably overhearing Red Mage).

EDIT2: Does anyone else feel that Thief & Rogue > Jeff > (Not) Akbar?

EDIT3: Nevermind to the first edit; Thief is knocked out during that episode. It's just him overhearing Red Mage, I guess.

Am I the only one that thinks that the other warriors didn't do any quest, they found out about the fake rat tail map and decided to screw the lite warriors for vengeance?

Hmm you know what I just realized? Thief and Berserker are in the same area as each other. It's only a matter of time before Thief gets that ax embeded into his head, or maybe now that he is a ninja he'll be able to beat Berserker.
