So you are gonna let the people who are the Cult, Police, Bodyguard, and such who they are?

Do Vanilla Townies get a PM stating they are such, or is it just when the game starts if ya didnt get a PM you are a Vanilla Townie? I assume the second but I wanna verify since I have never ever done this before.
